I think this is a very European attitude towards lolicon and similar material. I've noticed this with Vingle other users from the old world; they have this genuine belief that, as long as no one gets harmed, it's okay.

I think Vingle was just surrounded by people like on Kiwi Farms that think any little girl in anime equals loli. He likely didn't know because of this that loli means specifically sexualized drawings of little girls in an anime style. I know Kiwis are like this because even a mermaid ava with big boobs and hips was called a loli on KF.
