Yesterday evening, our glorious leader @Sailfish came up with a great idea and potential solution for Josh's problems.

Kengle asked me to reach out to Josh with this idea to create a network of sites all dedicated to hosting KF's content, exactly as stated above; a decentralized network that would be harder or even impossible to take down completely.

Here is a copy of the email I sent Josh earlier today.



I wasn't expecting Josh to respond any other way; and I'm only sharing this with the site so everyone can see exactly where Josh's priorities are. He doesn't care about his content, he doesn't care about his site, he doesn't care about his userbase, and he really, ultimately doesn't care about the continued existence of the content on his site. He cares about his monopoly on lolcow culture. That is all he cares about.

Diversifying and creating a network of sites all hosting content FOR him is not enough; Josh would rather KF remain a monolith that can be chipped away at the knees until it falls permanently as the likelihood of more ISPs dropping him has increased from laughable to uncomfortably likely.

I'm a little disappointed actually. I thought this was a completely respectful message. Although I know how Josh is, and his response is perfeclty in line with his track record, I hoped that perhaps the present crisis would make him a bit more open-minded and willing to consider an extension of help.

I find myself often having mixed feelings about KF and Josh. The woke puritans are the true enemies of everyone who loves the free and open internet and Josh stands directly in defiance against them. Its like I want to like him and cheer for his crusade against our common enemy, but then he does shit like this every chance he gets. He's like having the world's biggest asshole, a complete narcissist dick and a half, on your side of the fight. Kind of reminds me of Trump in a way.

Nothing to worry about as far as I'm concerned. Josh is the reason KF is in trouble, not the content. I always go back to 4chan as my main example but that's because it's the best example.
4chan has existed for 20 years now and it peaked in 2006-2009; before that, and I shit you not, there were child porn threads made every night that would stay up for hours. This is the origin of the "Mods are asleep" meme.
After that got sorted out with more mods and a better report system, 4chan made international news for going after Scientology.
For years 4chan was considered the most racist, depraved, disgusting place on the internet; and again in 2015, 4chan hit another upbeat and went to war with Shia Labeouf and used the site to plan, document and facilitate actual crimes; trespassing, theft, etc etc. Never mind the /r9k/ murder, the plethora of suicides, trolling ops etc etc etc all linked to the site... and yet it's still there.
Is this because 4chan is a honeypot? Probably. But KF was too (probably); Encyclopedia Dramatica still exists also; and before KF, ED was where lolcow stuff was posted, new articles still get written and people tried really hard to get ED taken down as well.

No.. ultimately, at the end of the day, Josh is the sole cause of KF being taken down. Every other site has found a place to go if there were issues. Josh burned every bridge with everyone by acting like an antisocial, over the top, retard and the chickens are coming home to roost.

There's two things going on right now as I see it:
1) There is a genocide going on, a purging of all content that is critical of the LGBT movement. Not all at once, and not with consistency or uniformity, but an overall trend towards that end.

2) People in general, and especially the woke mob, are incredibly short-sighted and forgetful. They rage about one thing this week, then move on to the next thing next week, often forgetting about their prior outrages. KF got too big for its britches, made too many high-priority enemies, and drew their focused attention in a rare way. ED and others that you mentioned are too fringe, too irrelevant, to really draw their focused hatred.

I don't see small fries like Onionbros drawing their ire, not for a long time at least. But I do see this executioner moving on from KF on to whoever the next biggest target is, and on down the line making the internet less free and open with each step. The content is absolutely an issue. That's why they are going after archive sites and will continue to do so. They've already succeeded with one archive site and are actively trying to get archive.ph to erase KF archives by fucking with their PayPal donations. They will also try to get sites delisted from search engines.

KF is their proof of concept that their tactics work. They won't abandon those tactics.
