The Washington Ogre
Remarkable Onion
It's easy to compare threads from pre-2015 where the posts are mostly repetitive but usually just laughing at something dumb at the start. Skip forward a little and it starts getting a tone of how much better than the cow they are and then about how much more moral they are they are than the cow a few years back. Posts from the most recent years will always assume every cow is one step from Satan for things like getting donations on whatever socials for completely mundane reasons. Every minor thing is kept with the same gravitas of literal felonies others do so it's impossible to really care about the latest round of pitchforks because the reaction is the same no matter what is actually being done by the cow.The thing is, they don't seem to get that their offense isn't a valid reason for something to not exist. Whether or not someone's a victim, the concept itself bothers them, and they find it objectionable. It's the same mentality that leads to self-censoring, where people avoid certain words or topics because they might offend someone. The reality is, they're not mad because someone's been hurt; they're mad because they believe anything that offends them shouldn't be allowed.
