Announcement UK Safety Act: I am going ahead with the blocking plugin

I know a lot of people have been concerned about the online safety act. I did a little checking on this:

I am going ahead with the plugins that will enable users to block other users on content they find objectionable. I am not big on censoring content but I do think as a user you should be able to have some control over the content you wish to view.

It's only half the solution.

Iirc it prevents them from getting dms, having posts on their profile, and seeing their messages. What else do you need? You already don't see their threads. Hiding your own posts from them is easily bypassed with socking. Nothing is actually solved. Just saying. Seems redundant and pointless. Since I can still see people's pages even though you took my perms on this account.
