The definition of gaslighting is a psychological manipulation technique in which a person tries to convince someone that their reality is untrue. It is a tactic often used by narcissists to gain control of their intended target.

I remember some users pointing it out when he was proven dead, but ended up getting chewed out by everyone else for disrupting the new narrative.

I am equating Josh's behavior to gaslighting because he manipulated the Kiwi Farms community into believing he wasn't certain about Byuu's likely cause of death, which was suspected to be suicide.
