Second of all, what's Chase's stake in all of this? What's his back story. He doesn't seem to have one. And frankly, Chase is pretty boring to talk to.

Completely agree with all of that. Except Pippa isn't a nothing burger controversy.
Nicolette was groomed at age 13 and the proceeded to not only live with her groomer with her parents knowledge, she gave her groomer a job in her company. Along with her friend Kirsche (who is often called the Alex Jones of vtubing) they would often present dangerously based political takes that often strayed into the alt-right. She's often talked on her show about drama in the Sektor. Pippa herself has been regularly been featured by Mr. Metokur. She's been on Camalot's show, and she also seemed likely to be on Rekieta's show. She was cozying up to Josh, but Josh saw her as a lying grifter and refused.
And she is a lying grifter. She was dating her groomer throughout all of that. Until recently when she dumped him in favor of a pooner.
The Pippa controversy is very much like MrBeast meets Rekieta.
