In the case of Kiwi Farms, the purity spiral will come for everyone and this includes even their most high profile users eventually.

Person X is an extremist that agrees with the extreme views of Group Z but Person Y is even more extreme than Person X and accuses Person X for not being pure enough with their beliefs, person Y is rewarded by Group Z while Person X is either punished or expelled from the in-group.

Some cults do this to keep their own members in check so that they don't do too much thinking.

There will always be someone more extreme than you. It's part of the reason why I think Kiwi Farms is on its last legs where sooner or later it will implode like NeoGaf though a purity spiral after drinking the Kool-Aid.

Seems like it already has suffered its own "death" at the hands of jewsh banning everyone even remotely interesting or funny. Though the site will continue to shamble along for some time longer like internet communities usually do.
