A lot of people break up every day from a relationship that don't work out but that doesn't mean they're a lolcow. Is being attracted to the opposite gender a lolcow trait now? I'm old enough to remember the 2008/2009 Global Financial Crisis. Ironically everything became cheap during the 'Great Recession' because the big corporations began discounting their merchandise as many people lost their jobs, lost their homes, and lost their retirement funds. Everything from groceries to jewelry to gasoline to electronics had fire sales because many businesses didn't wanted to be stuck with inventory that wasn't going to sell at their high prices at the time. So in order to entice people that still had their jobs, corporate America offered big discounts on a lot of merchandise to keep people consuming and to stop the bleeding.
So should an economic recession (or potentially an economic depression) happen (and it's likely going to happen very soon due to Trump's tariffs), the Switch 2 is likely going to go down in price to around a more reasonable 300 dollars or even lower than that despite the tariffs because Nintendo still wants people to buy their consoles (it's silly to think big corporations will keep prices high during an economic crash).
Nintendo will likely sell plenty of Switch 2 consoles when the world economy is in a recession as they will be forced to lower down their prices to something much more reasonable so that people feel they're able to buy it in these troubling times. People will still buy a Switch 2 assuming the people that buy them still have their jobs.
Everything will go down in price and inflation won't be a problem anymore but at the cost of people losing their jobs, people losing their homes, and people losing their retirement funds.
But hey, if you're a money savvy person then this is a great time to buy new PC parts when they are inevitably discounted if you always wanted to build yourself a new PC and buy some stocks while they are going down in price so that you can get rich when the economy becomes good again. So you have an opportunity to actually make more money than Jersh.
Reminds me of the people that peaked in high school (a term used to describe people that had their best years in high school and they haven't really done much with their adult years).
You probably remember stories of your high school years of teenagers that sneaked in to see an R-rated or an NC-17-rated movie and then they talked about it to their dumbass friends about how they saw a movie they're not allowed (to a teenager, sneaking in to see a movie that they're not allowed to see may be the most badass thing someone can do). If a grown adult did this, they'd be seen as a lame loser that didn't outgrew their high school years.
If someone is over the age of 18 and they want to watch a mature rated movie then they should just buy their ticket, sit down, and watch the damn movie. Why brag about something clearly made for you? It's not a flex.
It's the same with video games. No one cares that a grown ass man bought the new Grand Theft Auto game because the game is made for adults in the first place; just go to Gamestop, hand over the money to the cashier for GTA, and play the damn game. It's not a flex for anyone over the age of 18 stating that they're so badass for buying the new GTA game when the game was already made for them in the first place.
I'd be far more impressed by someone buying a high end model Lexus or buying a Tudor watch or buying a bottle of a rare vintage wine because that would be an actual flex. A grown ass man trying to show their "maturity" by buying a game made for them isn't really a flex.
Some Nintendo games are worth more than a house. I'd be far more impressed by someone owning a copy of Nintendo World Championships for the NES over a grown ass man owning a copy of GTA.

The only time someone could legitimately flex for video games is unless they hack a big video game company. For example the betamons for Pokemon Gen 3 that got leaked last year. That was some truly based flex because bunch of dudes hacked GameFreak and leaked all of their pokemon from Gen 3 to 7. Actual good shit for once. Anything else would be child’s play sadly. This is why I hate "oomer" memes in general. Aside from the fact they're just lame, unoriginal and ever-changing, once you get labled as an "oomer" of something (whether it be what year you were born or if you like a certain thing e.g. boomer coomer doomer, gooner, etc...), the whitchhunts begin and whatever good image you had on the internet get's completely nuked.
