Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Davido is set to headline a major music event in the United Kingdom this summer, unveiling his own festival titled Davido & Friends.
The highly anticipated event will take place on August 14, 2026, at the iconic Crystal Palace Bowl in London. Known for hosting legendary performances since the 1970s, the open-air venue has a capacity of approximately 15,000 attendees.
Unlike a traditional concert, the Davido & Friends Festival is designed as a multi-artist experience. While Davido will headline the show, fans can expect performances from several other artists, making it one of the standout Afrobeats events of the summer.
In a video shared across his social media platforms, the 33-year-old singer expressed excitement about bringing something new to his UK audience.
“I know you guys have been feeling left out, but guess what? For the first time, I present to you Davido & Friends Festival. It will be my only outdoor show in London this summer,” he said, urging fans to attend with their friends.
The announcement has already generated significant buzz, highlighting the continued growth of Afrobeats in the UK music scene. Organizers confirmed that pre-sale tickets will be available from March 26, 2026, at 10 a.m. GMT, with general ticket sales opening the following day.
Davido’s upcoming festival follows a strong run of success over the past year. His 2025 album 5ive earned a Grammy nomination, while his single “With You” and the ongoing 5ive Alive European tour have further cemented his global presence. He is also scheduled to perform at the 2026 edition of Coachella.
The festival is part of the broader Palace Bowl Presents series, which will also feature acts such as Bastille, The Wombats, Grace Jones, Gary Numan, Tom Jones, and Masayoshi Takanaka. A special “Gospel Garden” event featuring Kirk Franklin is also scheduled as part of the summer lineup.
With growing international recognition and a strong fan base in the UK, Davido’s latest move signals another milestone in taking Afrobeats to a wider global audience.
