The more of these videos I watch, the more I sense that LA Youtubers are putting out these videos because they're trying to counter mainstream narratives about the wildfires instead of reinforcing them. My impression is that LA Youtubers, even the big ones with millions of subscribers and 100s of 1000s of views, do not feel seen by the mainstream media the way traditional celebrities are, so they have to make sure their stories get out on their own by using their own platforms. A lot of these LA Youtubers are asking their subscribers to chip in while posting links to favourites sites they can donate, so for a lot of these LA Youtubers their first priority is aid, not some bullshit politics.
