Why would being an oldfag on Kiwifarms be a good thing? That would mean you not only experienced and accepted Josh's bullshit, but also potentially dealt with it yourself.
The purpose is to laugh at lolcows. This whole "oldfag newfag" bullshit is detracting from that purpose and setting up gatekeeping. Literally the only things KF "oldfags" actually have over newer members is witnessing meta drama firsthand and being more knowledgeable about cows. It's a good thing because it shows you have an understanding of the site's history and culture, and therefore have some authority to speak on such issues. Many oldfags have left because of the issues with the Farms. Many people who have been on the site for a long time say it's not fun anymore because of the influx of politics and new people who have no desire to integrate and are happy doing nothing but doomposting in A&N all day. You saw this brought to light with the PM chain leak.

At least those people took it to a semi private place to talk about politics, and it wasn't even exclusively politics either. As bad as A&H's can be by sometimes actually trying to force the Farms to be uber right wing, the other users are just as bad for trying to stir stuff up with A&H's to "get those dumb Trumptards off our site". We have plenty of evidence of that on this thread for the guy who started that PM leak thread.

That “dissenting opinion” was just outright mocking anyone on the election thread who thought something was weird with the election. I don’t think any political talk, left or right wing leaning, should be allowed on KF, but at this point it’s inevitable in our current time. I think Null should have just closed the Farms down before it got so swamped with politics like it is now.
