🥰🥰🥰

Rose you are such a hoot. I won't ask questions. I'm so worked up right now.

I just don't like JRPGs. If I wanted the same experience as watching a full season of an anime or a movie, I'd just go do that instead. Video games are supposed to be an interactive medium where your character and their choices are actually relevant to the plot. Like in Mass effect 2's loyalty missions.
Instead of the "Choice A and B leading to the same outcome" trend that is way too popular in VN's and Japanese games.
Okay, so I swear I agree with this statement that games shouldn't be made into playable films, but Yakuza 0's cut scenes aren't terrible, and there's genuinely so much to do, not to mention how fun the fighting mechanics are. I've heard it's not like this for some of the games within the series but even if you just played Yakuza 0 then never played the rest of the games, worth it for the fun experience and the story it brings to the table.

Got promoted to Global Mod which was pretty nice, I was told I worked for it but I feel like I've just had fun on this site and like to help where I can since the community despite having it's ups and it's downs has had me met some interesting and cool people who I just hope to be friends with and not bother anyone, it feels like I can actually be myself here and not have to pussy foot around things or censor myself. I just wanted to be a massive fag for a moment and just say how much I appreciate everyone.

I know there's probably some people who read into this who may not like me and lurk my platforms, there's even people who are against slurring and shit posting on the internet who I've seen attempt to moral fag me off site and it's honestly a you problem if you're digging this much to the degree of finding a thread about me on some niche site, you problem, not a me problem. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I've been working on my space since the new setup I got, and plan to get myself a new VR at some point since I still enjoy playing shit like beat saber, have always had fun with rhythm games since I was young. It's a decent exercise and even though VR could be better, I still have fun with the occasional VR gaming night, though I need to get myself some PC upgrades soon for a better experience.

Oh yeah - while I'm mind vomiting, I also was absolutely retarded and went to cook myself past, but I turned on the wrong burner and didn't notice until I smelled something vile, then realized I turned on the top burner and it was melting my electric tea kettle. It was a mess, but it got dealt with and now I need to spend money I don't have on a new kettle,

I wanted to neck myself.

Seriously though congratulations, we can certainly use your finesse keeping this crazy place together.
Thanks, it's a good place for me since every other site, even niche ones I've come across are filled with moral fagging cunts which I can't fucking stand. There's something about people and individuals who take shit too seriously that just annoy the fuck out of me. This has been a nice place to just say whatever's on my mind and to just shoot the shit with likeminded people.

Thanks again by the way and there was more I wanted to say, I'm going to do my best - I've always been able to be pretty unbiased and just want to have a place where everyone can be a chill community and be able to talk about this and that since I like sharing and learning about myself and other people's interests and hobbies. I think it's pretty nice when places like this exist on the web where it's drastically different in tone compared to basic social platforms out there, places like these kinds of forums feel more lively.

Rip your electric tea kettle.

The smell was terrible and it was a heavy white smoke, thankfully was able to act fast and unplugged the kettle before grabbing a towel and soaking it and tossing it on top of the melting plastic so no more fumes would come from the burning plastic materials, I felt so retarded and don't ever fuck up that badly in the kitchen but it was just unfortunate, but could had been worse than it was. Got the mess cleaned up and opened a window, just have to spend money on a new kettle when I can.

I've been dealing with some cunts from my childhood and don't know if they're actively watching me on this website, but I have reasons to believe they are and I just wanted to state how they're a bunch of pedophile sympathizers, they've been mentioned on this thread before and it's just funny how they've found this thread to my knowledge as people from this old website I grew up on started getting told about my "behaviors on this website" like they think I'd give a fuck what people would think about me. I guess that's something I'm going to keep an eye on and wanted to mention since they've been mentioned in the past on this place, and they're just a bunch of wacko cunts. Guess I wanted to discreetly say hello to them on this post if they are still running to this thread to check on me, lol.

I hope everyone is doing well, let me know what everyone's been up to,
I just wanted to leave another update and mind vomit since I already posted again to my blog.
Tonight I'll be spending my hours gaming and writing for my visual novel.

Burnt plastic smells terrible but not as bad as burnt hair.

Human feces it's like that too, but only when you're eating it and you think of something funny in the middle of it and you laugh really hard and it like comes through your nose and you kind of snort in really hard to try and get it out of there but it's still stuck in there for a while? Now you have to breathe human shit while you're not horny anymore, and the worst part is it's not even your own shit.

Or I mean... So I've heard.

Congrats

Not sure if this makes me retarded or autistic but I've had this exact video saved for a long time and have played it's entire run time for background white noise when I need sleep.
I've never seen lain, most of what I know is from osmosis.

I like the powerlines and how musical they are. Than again I'm suck for non-instruments being able to produce music or something similar too it. The drooning erie surrealness of it, the atmosphere. I'm a sucker for things like musique concrete.

I just don't like games with a ton of cutscenes.

Most of the lain fanbase are secondaries who never actually watched the anime and completely misinterpreted the entire thing with their own autistic headcanon and fanfiction illustrated by artists who also never watched the anime but saw Lain's character design. Wouldn't have an issue with it if they didn't try to retroactively force their retarded discordfag narratives laced with modern day identity politics into it as if they are gospel.

Its not as horrifying as the redditor retards make it out to be and was more like seeing a fictional metaphysical entity be created through the rapid growth of the 90's-2000's era internet over the course of the story. Unknowingly creating this entity through all the information and collective shitposting on the Wired internet.

Like most anime of the time, the other adaptations took on a life of their own. With the PS1 game being completely different from the anime. Some fans even ported it so it can be played from your web browser.

Fair enough tbh, can't say otherwise since I'd be a hypocrite since I've complained about recent games being movies, rather than games myself.

True, I like Lain and have watched it all because I'm a fan of what it had to say without having to think too hard about it, watching it can be like a fever dream but when you realize what serial lain represents it's neat and the way that it predicted what the internet would turn into when the anime was made in 1999 is foreboding since lain means to represent human connection and the separation of reality and the internet, showing it to be a dangerous thing if you choose to live in a dream rather than be able to step into reality. I've always loved Yoshitoshi Abe's work, especially an anime called "Haibane Renmei" which will always be a masterpiece and a favorite of mine next to serial experiment's lain.

I've gone by the name Reki for some time which most of my friends refer me by on my platforms like Discord, would high recommend Haibane Renmei since it's short, and a really beautiful story and piece of art.

I loved the PS1 lain game because it's the "bad ending" to it's anime counterpart, basically the "what if Lain didn't have
Alice Mizuki in her life to remind her that she's human through human connection?" question being displayed for us to see - making it the flip side of the same coin. I could go on and on about both the anime and the game but this is enough autism for now.

- There was also a website known as System Space / "The Tsuki Project" that was based around serial experiment's lain which I was an early member of and also one of the first 1k members, it seemed like a novel place until it was revealed to have been possibly linked to a few actual suicides before the website shut down for good, but it was a really artistic website when it was around and there's a lot of videos covering it. It's fascinating to me how many things are inspired by Lain from it's community, at least those who have actually seen the anime and consumed the media. Don't think System Space was meant to be taken seriously but of course there's going to be those who are actually mentally ill who will use something like a website as their final push, unfortunate for those who lost sense of reality.

Because of System Space I also learned about a cool game called "Event 0." since the website had been using the song "Hey Judy" from the game as their opening screen welcoming audio, which was oddly fitting.
