I cant sleep peacefully without the full 12 yards of powerline-age coursing through my eardrumsI only need about a minute of powerline noises
Not sure if this makes me retarded or autistic but I've had this exact video saved for a long time and have played it's entire run time for background white noise when I need sleep.Congrats
I've never seen lain, most of what I know is from osmosis. Not sure if this makes me retarded or autistic but I've had this exact video saved for a long time and have played it's entire run time for background white noise when I need sleep.
I just don't like games with a ton of cutscenes.Okay, so I swear I agree with this statement that games shouldn't be made into playable films, but Yakuza 0's cut scenes aren't terrible, and there's genuinely so much to do, not to mention how fun the fighting mechanics are. I've heard it's not like this for some of the games within the series but even if you just played Yakuza 0 then never played the rest of the games, worth it for the fun experience and the story it brings to the table.
Fair enough tbh, can't say otherwise since I'd be a hypocrite since I've complained about recent games being movies, rather than games myself.I just don't like games with a ton of cutscenes.
True, I like Lain and have watched it all because I'm a fan of what it had to say without having to think too hard about it, watching it can be like a fever dream but when you realize what serial lain represents it's neat and the way that it predicted what the internet would turn into when the anime was made in 1999 is foreboding since lain means to represent human connection and the separation of reality and the internet, showing it to be a dangerous thing if you choose to live in a dream rather than be able to step into reality. I've always loved Yoshitoshi Abe's work, especially an anime called "Haibane Renmei" which will always be a masterpiece and a favorite of mine next to serial experiment's lain.I just don't like games with a ton of cutscenes.
Most of the lain fanbase are secondaries who never actually watched the anime and completely misinterpreted the entire thing with their own autistic headcanon and fanfiction illustrated by artists who also never watched the anime but saw Lain's character design. Wouldn't have an issue with it if they didn't try to retroactively force their retarded discordfag narratives laced with modern day identity politics into it as if they are gospel.
I loved the PS1 lain game because it's the "bad ending" to it's anime counterpart, basically the "what if Lain didn't haveLike most anime of the time, the other adaptations took on a life of their own. With the PS1 game being completely different from the anime. Some fans even ported it so it can be played from your web browser.

You should, it's a good watch.I've never seen lain, most of what I know is from osmosis.
I doubt Kiwi will see this but at the same time it's probably not the place to talk about Kiwi here since there's really no need to keep bringing Kiwi up when Kiwi had nothing to do with the thread or topic here and I'm not wanting people to have things against one another or stir up more unnecessary drama since it's been blatantly annoying - I'm just saying this now because I don't have problems with anyone and never did and just don't want people to keep it going when there's no point, especially on this thread.Oh RIP kiwifails btw sorry to hear about the drama and that the broom didn't work out for you. We had a solid chain dm conversation going hopefully you didn't peak my dms and see the like 45 different dm chains I've had with Daniel previously but idc
Where else can we talk about it? It doesn't look like there's anywhere else it's mentioned. I'd consider him an efriend so I wanted to mention it incase he sees it. Fair, I'm just tired of the drama and guess I just don't want this thread turning into another hate orgy fest by mentioning unrelated people when I just want people to be fine and to chat about casual shit, right now even mentioning these names will get people going, which I want to avoid because I just don't care about any of it at this point and want people to drop it lmao.Where else can we talk about it? Oh ok, I just checked to see if I had a message from him or what and thought I might be blocked or something cause I couldn't click his name. It's all super fresh info to me, sorry for being late af to this. How's your night going?Fair, I'm just tired of the drama and guess I just don't want this thread turning into another hate orgy fest by mentioning unrelated people when I just want people to be fine and to chat about casual shit, right now even mentioning these names will get people going, which I want to avoid because I just don't care about any of it at this point and want people to drop it lmao.
Could be better, went through losing a friend over miscommunications and not being able to understand certain things that were going on, but besides that I'm fine I'm spending my night playing some video games and working on more script work towards a visual novel I'm working on as a self "dev", learning Python. It's a pretty fun first coding language for me, if HTML and CSS / JavaScript don't count, in my opinion Python is a bit easier. How's your night going?
Sounds adventurous, busy and a bit creative. That's right up my alley (kind of, I know next to nothing with coding). I painted this arcade shaped tissue box I found at a thrift store for $1 because it was all solid blue. What games do you play? I've been into coding since I was a kid, started off with decorating my social media platforms in the early 2000's of the internet with html and CSS, before eventually moving on to JavaScript and now being able to easily learn Python since it's easier than I thought it would be, but creating a "game" / visual novel by yourself is time consuming and there's so much I have planned for what I want to create, ambitious project of mine that will be ready at some point or another.Sounds adventurous, busy and a bit creative. That's a really adorable tissue box, and for some reason makes me think of Don't Hug Me I'm Scared.I painted this arcade shaped tissue box I found at a thrift store for $1 because it was all solid blue.
More often than not I'm usually playing games that people haven't even heard of like Disillusion, Disillusion ST. , SeekL, Miya The Broken, Yume Nikki, Yume 2kki, but sometimes I enjoy more mainstream pieces of media that more people would know about like the entire series for Class of '09. Mouthwashing, 100% Orange Juice, and so forth. On rare occasions I'll play games like Yakuza 0, but I usually enjoy titles that only I have heard about since I make it a challenge for myself to find rare gems that nobody else but me would know about, since they always end up being really neat pieces of artwork that I come to appreciate - I enjoy the obscure and macabre. What games do you play? I've dabbled in HTML and css too but I definitely can't do much with it. Just dipped my toes into it for profiles and some for university. That sounds complicated but worth it so you can see your vision come to life. Thank you. I had trouble choosing a color scheme but liked the vintagey brights for this oneThat's a really adorable tissue box, and for some reason makes me think of Don't Hug Me I'm Scared.

I've only ever played Yume Nikki of this bunch and I think maybe 100% Orange Juice at one point. I like some different games too but mine tend to be colorful, like jet set radio or darkstalkers. We have some overlap though I think.More often than not I'm usually playing games that people haven't even heard of like Disillusion, Disillusion ST. , SeekL, Miya The Broken, Yume Nikki, Yume 2kki, but sometimes I enjoy more mainstream pieces of media that more people would know about like the entire series for Class of '09. There was but it was deleted apparently. Probably so people stop talking about it. All I will say is I like him too, we would talk to eachother about random stuff all the time in dms. I miss when Myspace was popular. The custom pages were cool.
