My first interaction with Null was in 2014 and already negative. I made a thread about a person I thought would be an interesting cow and he immediately locked it, then harassed me in PMs about how shit it was and that I just had a "personal vendetta" against the subject. I said he was wrong and that I didn't know why he was saying this to someone who wanted to use his site. He banned me so I stopped lurking there and didn't browse again until a few years later. I figured he'd grown up and mellowed out. I'd go to A&N to shitpost and kept getting banned from there. It was starting to become a circle jerk and I've always enjoyed ruining people's hugboxes. Then the man-hate thread happened and I thought that was cool because it was pissing off the poltards so I did appreciate Null for letting us have that. I had started to become disillusioned after I saw the screencap above where he was threatening to ban people for posting in featured threads. Then I saw the retarded virtue jerking in the kris tyson thread and couldn't help myself. I got banned and then called him out on being a hypocrite when I came back. At that point, I just decided to say whatever I wanted without caring about getting banned again. So I did.

I'm not saying you're wrong but I'd have to see some proof. If I was a teen and my mom's bf killed my cat and burned our house down, I'd also be writing Eminem tier songs about killing her. If he was saying he was going to rape her that would be fucking weird though.

What I didn't like about kiwifarms was how people would jump onto whatever rumor they heard as fact and you couldn't say anything or you'd be piled on. I won't abide by that here as well.

Something Awful's main flaw right now is that it's full of whiny upper middle class suburban lefties. If I dig I can probably find more serious sins but things have chilled out a lot since Jeffrey took control of the forums. Is there nepotism and troon buffoonery going on in the background? Yeah but otoh SA is still extremely active with a dedicated userbase. The biggest issue is that a faggot user named Fluffdaddy got mod powers back after he tried banning people for reporting loli/shotacon threads in ADTRW. Otoh Jeff reversed the bans and banned loli & shotacon. SA actively encourages activity where users talk about the arts, entertainment, DIY, sports, the works.

Compare to Null who cultivates a stalking forum while being friends with child rapists and pedos who have CSAM on their hard drives. And he cultivates a userbase who shits on Folding Ideas for being a pedo who posted CSAM to 8chan/8kun/whatever, while pedos are hanging out on their site.

The biggest obstacle for KF as a forum imo is that it doesn't support threads that are not to do with politics or lolcows. On SA you can post whatever you want pretty much and users will encourage you to keep going, there's resources for everything. I have threads bookmarked for SMT, stationary/journaling/planners, a Pet Island thread for baby lambs, weightlifting, and coffee making. This is a very diverse set of threads and goons are active participants. Kiwifarms cannot sustain this kind of forum growth where users engage in esoteric topics. Kwiffar inevitably start yapping about Israel, Trump, trannies, Jews, whatever right wing conspiracy is popular that day.

What I notice about current day SA vs current day Kiwifarms is that KF talks a lot more about trannies. On SA the tranny talk is contained to a few threads and otherwise users just engage with the thread topic or shitpost.
