Exactly, the purpose of such bad faith lawfaring is to violate the defendant's privacy by forcing them to appear in court just to prevent a default judgement. Default judgements are routinely abused in this manner in all kinds of lolsuits all over the world. The fact that a judgement was issued in such a case doesn't mean that the defendant was actually guilty, it just means they were unable to show up in court for whatever reason. Some of them simply have no money to hire a lawyer in another country to defend themselves under a foreign legal system. If I remember correctly Dyn is Australian, right? It's ridiculous to expect an Australian man to have to travel all the way to the UK, a country where he does not live and cannot be expected to know the local laws, or to expect Dyn to have to hire an expensive British barrister to defend himself in a UK court as an Australian. That's why the US adopted the SPEECH Act in 2010, to protect their free speech from exactly this kind of libel tourism. Thanks to the SPEECH Act, British libel tourism judgements cannot be re-enforced in the US.

That is Squire of Gothos, a once well-regarded alog of lolcow Ethan Ralph. People turned on him after he exposed the gayops with Genius Anus/Eric of Melbourne. He does the impression on livestreams from time to time. Josh is too scared to mention him by name, only daring to mention his homosexual cohort Perspicacity ("Persip" for short) and even when he manages that he gets the lore all wrong. "Mr. Vickers drip feeds information to his capo Perspicacity." Persip hates Mr. Vickers and always has.
