welp I got sent death threats by multiple members back in there for defending LGBTQ++ and furries so nope. pretty sure the pol/8chans rejects represent a large proportion of KF as well.

I'd certainly prefer it if people used threads relevant to their interests instead of defending or attacking XYZ political/social group on either side.
KF shouldn't have had a political slant one way or the other and I'd like very much if OnionFarms didn't develop one, one way or the other.

Yeah they were by far the worst part of the site.
They we’re so bad, Null complained all mods just ghosted on him after a month because they wouldn’t last a month. Not even the right wing mods that would be part or the circle jerk.
It’s not even about censorship, just how politics are irrelvant, for the most part to gossip. I don’t mean an opinion here and there, or not critiquing political figures. Just that it attracted the worst kind of people that nobody else wanted.
It wasn’t even a free speech site, but the alt right/ far right safe space were any dissenting opinion was harrassed and bullied.
AFAIK it was a thread called "what you find trans lolcows fascinating" and the replies were, as you would expect, bunch of alogs who can't stop crying about how "degenerates" are bad and are all pedophile. I simply pointed their stupidity out and got screeched on for it.
I like OF community better than KF for this reason. You got tranny alogs as well but at least you can call them out and not being hated by a large proportion of members.

This just illustrates why websites like kiwi and now onion need to establish upfront rules and shit and not feed people bullshit like "we will never censor you!"
Josh found out too late that there are people who are just raging faggots with nothing to contribute, but he had already given then a spot so attempts to janny them made him into a hypocrite. Rules instead of pretending you can just let people banned on the rest internet post as they wish would have done him nothing but favors.
What qualifies as content is different between people and if it's a claim of no censorship, it puts jannies in a gay spot of dealing with people who have axes to grind.
When I joined there was a "no US politics" rule. I was genuinely surprised when Null revoked it.

Apologies Voi I meant more so in his response to NZ was really gay. All he had to do was politely say "The material is not illegal in the US and the site is US registered and follows US law."
I do miss the days when it just turned to shit. E.g. The DSP forum used to be really good but it got so bad just pages a day of reeeeeeeing. Happenings and the Pol boards were a nightmare like I am center right but christ on a cracker and the pro-Putin stuff from users was a pandora's box and should have been scrubbed.

It was the attitude what just made him seem terrible, outside the KF circle jerk that is.
If he wanted so badly to host the Christchurch video, then he could have politely explained the situation.
Explaining how he stands up for his users and their right to be informed. And saying how he won’t give user data, specially not of his New Zeland users, because he doesn’t want people to face unfair consequences just for wanting to be informed, discussing events relevant to them, and their freedom of speech. And that he is following US law.

The difficulty is, how could a police force obtain the IP address of a poster? After some thought, I realised that all but one of the mechanisms I could think of involved hacking or at least joining Kiwi Farms. Under recent laws, British police can hack websites – which got me thinking about the timing of the recent hack in which the site’s data was deleted."

There's rumors that the trannies deleted all backups of the site. Josh should release the data now. Unless it's truly deleted he wants to withhold it so he can be the sole owner of this information.
