I actually don't know the lore on Jambled, being that I mostly stuck to the more intelligent parts of KF.

The people here have connected the dots and presented their theory; I haven't seen anything that proves them wrong.

I also no longer consider myself to be a part of the furry fandom.

Spending 20 years around furries will do that to you. I don't hate furries per se, and I like @Meowsolini. I ultimately decided that while I can tolerate their presence, and even appreciate it for the most part, I do not have whatever it is that makes them furries.

16 is the age in around half of US states. 18 is a common misconception thanks to things like CA being 18 and so much of our pop culture coming from the state.

I also hate to be the bearer of news here but in most of the western world it is bellow 18 too.. In fact half of western europe is under 16.. (14-15) Germany didn't technically have one till a few years ago and still might not in practice. (statutory rape had to be proven, regardless of age, now it's technically set to 14, with a Romeo and Juliet law for younger ages) This whole debate and moral fagging here over <18 is very much a US centric POV. And very extremely a modern thing.. You go back even ~30-40 years in the US, and you start running into <16s. Go back a few decades more and 12s and 14s too.

The law in America can be super complicated, especially since it varies from state to state. I sometimes forget that the federal government's role is limited in certain areas, and I appreciate you taking the time to post more corrected information.
