I'm just calling out Null's stupidity considering he politicized and weaponized his own site which was the start of people going after KiwiFarms and attempting to shut the site down which has led to him whining time and time again trying to keep his lolcow factory up and running while building himself up to being a massive lolcow. Why exactly is the site down on CN anyway? I don't remember hearing explicitly why. Who dropped them etc?
Ok going to have to stop you there.. While I agree with the taking no sides.. You are talking about cause and effect here, not a case of 'pot calling the kettle' or outright hypocrisy... at least not in a lot cases, certainly not originally. You are also conflating two different things. Attacks and impositions (when not outright inquisition) on media of all kinds. Specifically in this case though, games, comics, sci-fi and now even anime and manga. From content, to media, to the industries themselves. As well as a general takeover of most fan and fandom spaces. All pretty much by outsiders and a few insiders. To people talking, bitching about or fighting it online and taking anti stances. Sometimes even using opposing political stances in the worst of cases (fighting politics injected in, with politics) isn't the same. Though generally not a smart move I agree, but still nowhere near the same!
Secondly.. "keep politics out" was originally (and still mostly is) about the media itself. I don't see a lot of people calling for right-wing or conservative political talking points and dogmas in media.. and even less actually making it in! While I'm not sure where you are coming from with your take, I'm going to say right now that if you're arguing that "everything is political (including and especially none at all)" then just don't, or even reply because i'm not playing fallacious games like such. That nonsense is so utterly counter to the very concept of fiction, entertainment, fantasy, and escapism in general... That even if it was a logical premise, it would still be ridiculous.
This whole mess could best be summed up as "I poked a bear and now it's upset!" OC anti-bear pokers were going to show up.. and a few normal ones were going to side with those enemies of the pokers! Again, that's not to say that it's a desirable, let alone good or helpful idea.. Just that it is. And what it is is not equal.
You also have to understand that many of these fandoms and medias have long histories of misunderstanding and attacks by outsiders. And how these arguments being used now, such as nonsense like "objectification" (of literal things that aren't even technically objects in the first place but colored dots and imagination) and "sexualisation", are exactly the same as attacks of the past. ("fictional -blank- causes real -blank-) Which everyone in the fandoms (fans, media, industry) teamed up, stepped up to counter and fight. Are now being met with the insistence that the "dangers" are all true now, that the fiction/fantasy IS reality suddenly here... but ONLY here and with the correct issues.. (for now... as these same forces have show open discomfort with violence too) by the industry and media. And that to even question these assertions is unacceptable and intolerable. Seriously.. just look at how things all started on neogaf, basically bringing in outsiders, new feminist members to screech about how everything they like is sexist and otherwise problematic.. and then declaring that any disagreement would be met with bannings. (which they did.,. a lot of long time regulars fell in the first purges.) This is how the current ReeeeERA mentality got started, and by mostly the same people as well.

Null just announced that KF will be Tor only for weeks in order to force Kiwis to download Tor:

Hard to say. I don't know how many Kiwis are using Tor on their smartphones versus those using Tor on their laptops. Even on a laptop, Tor will eat through your battery like nothing else, and I remember Kiwis who had installed Tor on their smartphones for the first time complaining about the same issue of Tor emplying their smartphone batteries in no time. I don't know how many Kiwis are accessing KF on their smartphones using roaming data versus Kiwis browsing the forum at home. I feel like that's a huge determining factor in whether people are willing or able to use Tor. There's also all the Kiwis who are browsing KF at work or at school, who might not be at liberty to install software like Tor. IIRC, I think you can run Tor from a USB stick on a network that restricts downloading and running unauthorized software, but I've never tried it myself.what's a good ballpark on the percentage of people that will actually do this? i've seen numbers posted here in the 600s of KF users any given day - can we expect that to even double? seems like people who have Tor will have it already and those that don't, won't

I have TOR and no longer find it worth the trouble to get it going, then get onto KF, and then have to wade through posts from people with lukewarm IQs. I enjoy it when I'm able to access it easier because I can lurk when it's convenient for me. Doing that much work to get some laughs is a deterrent.what's a good ballpark on the percentage of people that will actually do this? i've seen numbers posted here in the 600s of KF users any given day - can we expect that to even double? seems like people who have Tor will have it already and those that don't, won't
Have you tried Tor Browser Alpha from Play store?I hate it being off the clearnet bc I have a chromebook and the tor app is super slow on it and anything else you have to get from the play store instead of the obsolete chrome webstore seems to work shittier. I'm not buying usbs and learning how to install linux just for kf.
I just looked for it:Have you tried Tor Browser Alpha from Play store?
Damn.I just looked for it:

When KF went down once before I used some app but can't remember which one, it was a little annoying but easy enough to use and understand. I shouldn't have deleted it, I thought it was that one, but I tried it recently and I can't figure it out or get it to work.Have you tried Tor Browser Alpha from Play store?
Talk about forcing your site to commit financial suicide.Null just announced that KF will be Tor only for weeks in order to force Kiwis to download Tor:

Half the people who hate Null claim that he makes more money when his site is down while the other half like to claim that KF is his main source of income and he'd be destitute without. I don't think he makes most of his money from KF. I think MATI is where he makes his money. KF is just a way for him to crowdsource material for MATI.Talk about forcing your site to commit financial suicide.
Would people even watch that shit if KF never existed? He got 99% of his internet moneys from KF, directly or indirectly. I've never even watched a MATI stream yet, personally, but I've never been a KF crypto paypig either. Maybe his stream is popular enough now that he could make do without KF funneling people to it, but I'm sure that not having KF up on clearnet hurts his crypto income significantly, at least.I don't think he makes most of his money from KF.
