GamerGate started in 2014 and ended in 2016. Holowka died three years after the controversy ended.
That is what didn't happen in 2014. There were 5 major outlets all of them pretending to be print magazines. Kotaku, Polygon, IGN, GameSpot, and Giant Bomb, along with Game Informer the actual print magazine. (Then there were the two no one paid attention to Rock, Paper, Shotgun and Destructoid) If you weren't one of these companies, your voice was not getting heard.
One of the reasons why it's so hard for new people to get their minds around what GG was about is that the Internet has changed so drastically in the last ten years.
Even YouTube wasn't anything like what it is now. YouTube's video recommendation system didn't even exist until the year prior.
Again, he's one voice drown out by a thousand videos from a thousand other channels.
Here's the Google Trends chart for world wide interest in EuroGamer since 2004:
Well, look at that. Interest in EuroGamer falls off a cliff in 2014 and is completely dead by 2016. Gasp. What could have happened to it?
We're going to find exactly the same graph no matter what major games media site we look at.
I mean, it kind of looks like a sleeping dragon now, I can see it.
This one:
And as his friend was dying he was too busy being out admonishing people in public for using the "Are Traps gay?" meme.
And I loved TB and watched him pretty religiously at the start of the controversy. But he really was a cuck loser. He kind of represents my stepping off point from being a leftist myself. He's the last leftist I followed unironically.
I'm citing the Zoe Post, the WordPress blog by ZQs ex-boyfriend Eron Gjoni which started GamerGate:Why does every word you say sound completely unconnected to GG?

And those changes have resulted in it having not even the a tenth of the power, money, and influence it did in 2014. Remember, with very rare exceptions, journalists were the only way people got game reviews in 2014. These were massive powerhouses at the head of million dollar conglomerates. Nothing anywhere close to that is happening these days.Nigga, there is a huge video game journalism media complex. So long as Jason Schrier is getting paid to write exposes on vidya game companies for IGN and Kotaku, there is a video game journalism complex. There have been changes yes
Which is drown out by a thousand videos talking about how Star Citizen is a scam.what actually happened is that those Youtubers have created their own corrupt media mini fiefdoms (like Downward Thrust when he makes videos shilling for Star Citizen because he doesn't want to admit he's become part of an MLM video game scheme)

I think you're talking about Asmongold? What shilling are you supposing Asmongold does?Youtube video game channels become extensions of media networks that have those journalism companies as investors.

Looks like he does interviews with EuroGamer. Those official journalism outlets are still very important and get a lot of traffic, Yoshi-P from Square Enix regularly does interviews with American game journalist outlets and that's the second most popular MMO in the entire world.
Are you truly not aware of this?

Lol.Because GG didn't accomplish anything and now the beast is stronger than ever.
I mean, it kind of looks like a sleeping dragon now, I can see it.
Total Biscuit's life was ruined by ass cancer. And he was a leftist blue pilled loser who's closest friend is the inspiration for one of the soycuck meme faces.Total Biscuit was a decent guy whose life was ruined by Gamergate. GG's toxicity spread everywhere and managed to ruin the passing of a good man because everyone made his death about Gamergate instead of mourning his passing.

Laughs in successful 50 million dollar lawsuit.AKA not effective at all.
Le incorrect and vague charts and citations, lol.@MagnesiumCorp as you have already figured out. Tends to make up a lot of stories and lies about a lot of stuff. It's why most of the information he gives out is actually either incorrect or vague.
I don't block any companies on Twitter. I don't follow any companies on Twitter. Do you follow any companies on Twitter? You are either lying or you think that just because you have them blocked on twitter everyone else does too.
I'll try, but after being this wrong about GamerGate, I'm not inclined to immediately trust you about anything.Go back through Gays From LA's posts in this thread, I don't have it bookmarked right now. But Gays From LA found a post from Josh on Kiwifarms where he said he was collecting child pornography that was posted to image boards and KF so that he could train AI to "filter" child porn and keep it off Kiwifarms. I'll look for the post for you tomorrow but right now I'm going to bed
