Yeah, he'd bitch you out on all the image threads.
He whines and bitches about thumbnails even in the threads solely about images. It wouldn't be so bad if his site was performant in any meaningful way, but insisting on the use of thumbnails just means most of the time images are broken and all you get is a low-res preview.

Exactly, I only unthumbnailed some because the images weren't loading for me and I didn't tardrage about it.
It's actually a huge issue because of just how janky his website is. By not fixing it (due to reasons), it not only can cause performance issues, but apparently, some images will fill the entire screen, making the website malfunction. And if you were to use a seizure-inducing GIF, you could, in theory, flashbang someone - like the one user who recently got banned for causing another user a seizure. I've heard it may cause other issues.
