God/s may or may not exist that's true. You don't have to have faith in Him/Them if you don't want to.
Gender doesn't exist. Sex exists. Behaviour is largely genetic. Testosterone and Estrogen have neurological/psychological/behavioural effects. Anyone who doesn't align with their sex is dysfunctional. Either they are mentally ill or physically dysfunctional; whether that is endocrinological, hepatological, or due to virus, disease, or infection.
Fraternal birth order, for example. Female's body attacks the androgenizing hormones that initiate androgenesis.. leading to younger brothers being more likely to turn out gay.
