This certainly looks like emotional abuse to me now whether there may have been physical or sexual abuse is another matter. But his behavior kind of makes you think.
That's a pretty awful thing for a mother to reinforce that on her son. But it makes it easier to understand why Josh turned out the way he did ( assuming this is actually true).
