Nollywood actress Adunni Ade became part of that conversation after publicly revealing that she had returned to Islam after spending years attending Christian churches and identifying with the Christian faith.

Despite spending years in Christian circles, she said she never truly felt disconnected from Islam.
She explained that the values, upbringing, and lifestyle instilled in her during childhood continued to shape who she was. For years, however, she hesitated to publicly return to Islam because she feared criticism and public judgment.
Everything changed on December 31, 2016, when she decided to stop living according to other people's expectations.
