I do believe the real reason why the original thread was locked and chucked was because that boomer drunkard @Betelgeuse posted a cringe boomer white supremacy meme that made @Kenneth Erwin Engelhardt uncomfortable.

The site makes regular backups. When it usually goes down, it is usually because I need to go and clear out the excess backups. This usually only takes a few minutes.
Idk he does the white supremacy thing all over the site. But I do know ken hates it. Those threads being joke threads and getting locked for shit flinging makes it worse imo because that's typically what joke threads devolve into anyway. Like you said it's basically forum culture. Locking them was a cringe move on his part. Regardless of his motive.
