And that's exactly what you were not doing in 2014. 480p and Let's Plays were ground breaking content. There were a hand full of game reviewers, but most of them were journalsts. For instance Giant Bomb was dominating Let's Play content.
It's kind of hard for people to get their minds around how much things have changed in the last ten years because they've changed so drastically. GamerGate was a major reason why things changed, not the only reason, but a big one.
