So in other words, they are far too disorganized and incompetent to properly separate fact from fiction and how to properly approach stuff like this.

This is exactly the reason as to why the Internet has grown to hate online vigilantes because they think this is a superhero comic and forget that real life is far different from a Batman comic.

If you know about the story of Phoenix Jones, he was America's modern mainstream lolcow because he took it upon himself to fight crime in the streets (he even made his own league of superheroes and created his own costume just like an American superhero character). But later on his ego took the better of him and he would become the villain in the end (he would get arrested for assault but the charges were dropped and then he would be charged for selling meth in a later arrest).

I used to be for cancel culture and callout posts. Now I learn that they never work once and has helped many pedophiles avoid prison.
