She is not wrong. The 1980s/90s Khmer Rouge was backed by the US because they were opposed to the pro-Vietnam (pro-Soviet) government in Cambodia. They were literally part of the government coalition in the US-recognized government that still used the Khmer Rouge country name "Democratic Kampuchea" and had the largest army so the US backed them. When Vietnam liberalized, the USSR fell, and the US normalized relations, the US ceased backing them and there was a ceasefire.

Who had the biggest army and most support in Cambodia in the 1980s? That's right, the Khmer Rouge. The US (and China, who were opposed to Vietnam) all supported the Khmer Rouge for over a decade. Like imagine if instead of a few units, 90% of the Ukrainian military were die-hard neo-Nazis who actually had murdered Jews. That is how it was for the government the US backed in Cambodia in the 1980s, where almost all of their military and many of their politicians (including Pol Pot, of course, who was still leader of the Khmer Rouge) were directly involved in Pol Pot's dictatorship and mass killings.

GTA 5 was physical release, which saved T2/R* from paying royalties to MS/Sony. add in the 30% cut they have to pay and the £80 base price makes sense. R*/T2 are passing the cost onto the customer, yet nobody is up in arms about it.
i don't think thats true. surely MS/Sony got some cut from the whole being allowed to play the disk on their console thing. even steam doesn't take a 30% cut from major publishers, surely sony/MS gave 2k a much better deal. under 20% easily.
if you're talking about the US, you're almost entirely right. but worldwide the amount of ps5 owners is 25% higher now than ps3 owners when gtav came out, and that's not taking into account how many fuckers will buy the console at the last minute. you're forgetting that 3rd worlders didn't even have access to a PS3 back in 2013.
