Not all moderators are jannies but all jannies are (Broken) moderators. Its time for some definitions to be set:
A jannie is a disgusting waste of life. One who has parasitically wormed themselves into a position of power on various different forums and sites. They "clean up" posts according to their own interests and within their mind see themselves as a higher class of poster than normal users. They cannot handle criticism and will work swiftly to punish you in a way they see fit, whether its stripping you of your abilities and dignity, or simply barring you from using the site.
Moderators in contrast are volunteers for their community of choice who as either long-time contributors or supporters of the community, take up the role to improve the experience for both themselves and everyone. You usually don't see them in action or even acknowledge them, for they don't let the position taint their words, but they're responsible for lots of work behind the scenes to keep the machine well oiled. They don't require monetary compensation as A) They've got a life away from the internet, and B) Helping the community is all they need.
Its obvious Josh is a Janny, but is he a King Janny? I have two points to raise in my support of this:

Its obvious Josh is a Janny, but is he a King Janny? I have two points to raise in my support of this:
- He is the full-time owner of Kiwifarms and has moderated multiple imageboards, at least two of which he was the owner of.
- He refers to the Kiwifarms chat as his "Throne room".
