Onionchat.net is being set up. An Open source chat app will be set up and from there we will have a new chat plugin developed for Onionfarms.com
  • Welcome to Onionfarms. All races, ethnicities, religions. Gay, straight, bisexual. CIS or trans. It makes no difference to us. If you can rock with us, you are one of us. We are here for you and always will be.

  • Blogs and Opinions and Q&A is your blog as well as your Questions and Answers forum.

The Forums On The Home Screen Should Be Rearranged

Not a huge deal, but I think the current layout of the subforums on the homepage could use a bit of reorganizing. Right now, it looks like this:

  1. Onion Farms Meta
  2. Make Onion Farms Great Again (shitposting)
  3. Historical Forum (empty forum)
  4. Cows, Public Figures, And Celebrities
  5. Niche Communities
  6. News, Drama & Lolcow Countries
  7. General Discussion and Internet Culture

This order kind of buries the stuff most people come here for. A lot of new users probably click in expecting the cow threads or kiwi farms discussion, but they’re listed halfway down the page under a dead archive board and a joke subforum.

Here’s a proposed layout that might make more sense:

  1. Cows, Public Figures, And Celebrities (core of the site)
  2. Niche Communities (home of the most active sub forum)
  3. News, Drama & Lolcow Countries
  4. General Discussion and Internet Culture
  5. Make Onion Farms Great Again (let the shitposting stay but lower on the page)
  6. Onion Farms Meta
  7. Historical Forum (archive it or just move it to the bottom as a legacy board)

This way, the highest traffic areas are right up front. New people land on the page and see what the site is actually about instead of thinking it’s a dumping ground for meta sperging and dead sections. And honestly, if the Historical Forum isn’t gonna be used, just shove it to the bottom or toss it into an archive section entirely.

Thoughts? Is there a reason it’s organized the current way that I’m missing?
