@Chink Destroyers from LA Just so we're clear, that's not a conspiracy theory. Sarkeesian was a major force behind Google's first DEI and Trust and Safety initiatives. Gamers won Gamergate, but because of that, anti-GG came out with a huge amount of feminist money and connections (and it wasn't like they lacked those connections already. The ugly chick's real name is Chelsea van Valkenberg and she's part of one of the world's wealthiest families) and they have used those connections, openly, to create what we are seeing now.

Josh is a complete idiot about GamerGate. GamerGate didn't lose. GamerGate was about a network of corrupt journalists covering the San Francisco indy games scene. The idea that it was about anything else was a charge made by anti-GG. Which Null constantly parrots. It's so fucking bizarre.
GamerGate wasn't about the content of games. It wasn't even about ALL game's journalists.
We won GamerGate when we got the corrupt journalists fired and sunk Gawker media with a multi-million dollar lawsuit. That's... all we wanted to do. It's all we were trying to do.
The things we've been seeing these days with DEI initiatives and companies choosing message over profit did not exist in 2014-2015. This is the DOA Beach Volleyball era. Jiggle physics were the norm. A game like Dustborn was something no one could have seen coming back then.
Things like DEI initiatives were started IN RESPONSE to GamerGate. Saying we didn't win is like saying Germany won WWI because Hitler took power. It's just not true, and it's kind of insane to say on the face of it.
Diversity and equity inclusion initiatives have been around for a hell of a lot longer than that you dog fucking moron
Companies have been implementing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives since the mid-1960s, when legal changes and societal movements began to reshape the corporate world. The term "DEI" originated in 1965 with the creation of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), which allowed people to report companies that discriminated against them based on gender, race, age, and pregnancy. The introduction of equal employment laws and affirmative action also marked the beginning of workplace diversity training, which was intended to help employees adjust to increasingly integrated offices

The government. It's always the damn government.
which allowed people to report companies that discriminated against them based on gender, race, age, and pregnancy.
This part is probably a good thing though.

It's an offshoot of the civil rights movement. To be honest, the only thing GamerGate accomplished was initiating the tactic of targeting advertisers; as a result, many social justice warriors (SJWs) changed their tactics, shifting their focus from individuals to companies. This strategic shift in targeting advertisers has had a lasting impact, as it allows them to exert pressure on companies to conform to their ideology, rather than directly confronting individuals. By going after a company's bottom line, they can often achieve their goals more effectively, as companies are more likely to cave to pressure in order to protect their brand and revenue..

Sorry, guys, these are angry fags from the Pippa thread.

She also helped found Twitter's DEI and Trust and Safety initiatives.

Basically whatever money she didn't spend after grifting on GamerGate she spent creating the modern hellscape Internet we have. She wasn't alone in that and she wasn't the only GG alum who did the same thing.

Stop pretending like nobody on this website doesn't know that you're the loser who spent $3,000 on a pink anime rabbit and defended lolicon because you once pretended to have visited Japan.

Also who cares that got dissolved in 2016 and it was a volunteer group
Dec 12 (Reuters) - Twitter Inc on Monday disbanded its Trust and Safety Council, a volunteer group formed in 2016 to advise the social media platform on site decisions, according to an email reviewed by Reuters.
About half of the social media site's workforce - around 3,700 employees - have been laid off since Elon Musk took charge of the company and introduced a cost-cutting drive.
More than a 1,000 have resigned, among them Yoel Roth, the company's former head of trust and safety.

This site needs moderation.

All of which was completely shown to be false by the Twitter Files leaks following the Elon Musk takeover. It never ended. It got a whole lot worse.
What the fuck does this even have to do with Josh Moon? You know, the thread that you're currently hijacking with your baseless claims. And for once, why don't you provide some actual evidence instead of pulling crap out of your ass?"

Because of his opinions on GG.

I'm not the one who got us started talking about GG.

See above.

I think for your own mental health, you should consider calming down, friend.
Telling someone to calm down doesn't lend any credibility to your claims. Considering we're all aware of the kind of tantrums you're prone to throwing over animated pink bunny girls, it's clear that your advice rings hollow.

Oh, clearly. Between the two of us, you are the calm one.

The citations I already provided are what lends credibility to my claims.

Are you going to be okay?

Where's the evidence for the claim that Twitters trust and safety commission is still ongoing after it folded in 2016 also your derailing the thread fagot

The Elon Musk twitter leaks. Aka the Twitter Files. It was a major national news story.

Adorable.
What you are is a deeply unsettling individual who spent $3,000 on a pink anime rabbit girl, then spent eight months obsessing over her, and now you're trying to compensate for your lack of attention by acting like an internet tough guy on this website, spewing baseless nonsense that nobody takes seriously.

Oh okay. If you say so angry little white cat with hearts. Take some medication, it'll be fine.

Do you honestly not know about the Twitter Files leaks? They happened right after he bought the platform.

You are thread derailing. This has nothing to do with Josh Moon. You can google and find the Twitter Files leaks for yourself, little bro.

That's not what you said earlier. You claimed that the Twitter Trust and Safety Council was still ongoing, but it actually folded after Elon Musk's acquisition. I provided evidence to prove this. So, that's two things you're wrong about. Nice try with the Pee-wee Herman-esque deflection, but it's time to put aside the childish antics and take responsibility for your mistakes. Grow up and focus on the conversation at hand."

Oh. That's not what it says there:
Dec 12 (Reuters) - Twitter Inc on Monday disbanded its Trust and Safety Council, a volunteer group formed in 2016 to advise the social media platform on site decisions, according to an email reviewed by Reuters.

It wasn't dissolved in 2016. It was dissolved after Elon Musk took charge. Your article is from 2022.
