This is a thread for everyone to make Movie and TV Show recommendations and/or condemnations.

I watch a lot of different movies, and I am very pretentious and will never recommend anything that I don't think are really good that I don't think 9/10 people will enjoy when they watch it.

I can't remember the last time I have recommended a movie and someone has told me they didn't like it. So here's some movies to watch.

  • Her
  • The Shining
  • Parasite
  • The apprentice
  • Taxi Driver
  • The lighthouse
  • Forrest Gump
  • Jesus Camp (2006 Documentary)
  • Pulp fiction

  • Star Trek: The Next Generation
  • Star Trek: Deep Space Nine
  • Babylon 5
  • Star Trek: Voyager
  • Stargate SG-1
  • Farscape
  • Star Trek: Enterprise
  • Stargate: Atlantis

I can heartily recommend this movie: Stardust (2007).

Good stuff.
  • The Lawnmower Man (1992)

That is literally the reason why I watched the movie in the first place lol, it was all thanks to the cob himself

Also here is a few more movies and TV shows that I recommend...
- Meet The Feebles (1989)
- Gummo (1997)
- Friday Night Dinner
- Mrs. Brown's Boys (I know it's sort of a controversial choice because it got so many negative reviews, but if you ask me, I don't get why it's hated so much.... it's actually quite a rollercoaster of a show)
- Ben and Holly's Little Kingdom (also a controversial choice because it's mainly a kids show but hey, it has it's fair share of moments)
- Peppa Pig (same as Ben & Holly)
- Noddy (mainly "Toyland Adventures" and "Make Way For Noddy", I got into it again all thanks to this parody comic strip)
- Crayon Shinchan: Action Mask vs. Leotard Devil (1993)

Good on you for knowing the good memes! :)
I haven't seen The Lawnmower Man (1992) myself, but from what I gather it's actually a decent/good movie on its own, without the memes.

Save for Peppa Pig, I don't know any of these movies/TV shows that you listed.
I'll be sure to check them out though. Thank you for the recommendations.

Now, I would like to recommend Beauty and the Beast.
It's a true marvel of good ol' drawn animation. It's just so good with its base story and premise, and the art that comes along in the creation of this masterpiece of a movie is just the icing on the cake.

I would also like to recommend Avatar (2009).

I don't care about all the people who chastise this movie for being unoriginal or whatever.
I believe it's a superb movie with a clear story from start to finish. It's a spectacular ride.

Let yourself be engaged completely in the story. Every man and female on this Earth will love the story for what it is.
