I noticed this years ago. It made me laugh over what a painfully obvious ploy it is to try and pass the very womanly gossipping and harassment of Joshua's faggy little website off as "legitimate".

It's such an obvious and desparate way to try and obfuscate what they're doing in words which they foolishly believe will make their appalling behaviour seem more justifiable.

Long before the cheating incident, Mumkey Jones (like many edgy e-celebs at the time) were dealing with Big Tech cracking down hard on free speech as this was back in the day when the Alt-Right used to have relevance and Big Tech was looking for any excuse to ban or heavily censor said e-celebs online.

Mumkey Jones lost his original Youtube channel because then Youtube CEO Susan Wojcicki ran Youtube with an iron fist; Mumkey Jones lost his original Youtube channel because of his Eliot Rodger videos and his channel was terminated for "Bullying" (Mumkey Jones tried to appeal this but Youtube never budged). It wasn't Mumkey's anime reviews that got him the boot off Youtube (despite how inappropriate and edgy his anime reviews are), it was Mumkey's videos of him making fun of Eliot Rodger (aka the Supreme Gentlemen) that got his channel terminated in the first place. Platforms like Patreon would follow Youtube's path where Mumkey would be kicked off these platforms for "Hate Speech" and "Bullying" not long after.

Look what happened to LeafyIsHere, that guy never really got involved in lolcow activities in the same way Mumkey Jones did but Leafy still got kicked out from Youtube and lost much of his online relevance anyway in the same way Mumkey Jones did after the crackdowns by Big Tech at the time.

It never really mattered if back then Mumkey decided to never get involved with that furry chick in the first place because his fate was already sealed when Big Tech at the time wanted blood and they've wanted to find any excuse to ban or censor edgy e-celebs in general due to how the political climate was within Big Tech back then, this was beyond Mumkey's control (if Mumkey never meet the furry chick then he still would've been screwed over by Big Tech anyway).

I'm not defending Mumkey Jones for his past sins here (because he does deserve being torn to shreds for cheating on Sheepover back then) but what I'm saying is that Mumkey (like many edgy content creators such as Alex Jones back in the day) got royally fucked by Big Tech back then. If there is anyone to blame why Mumkey got royally fucked as he did, the fault mostly came from the Leftists and Troons that put a lot of pressure on Big Tech to censor much of the Internet back in the day.

while true, mumkey got kicked in like 2021 or 2022 right? he still had a big enough fanbase to keep on trucking until 2025 if he wanted to "come back"

jontron vanished for over a year and bounced back, same with internet historian. An even better example is Nick Fuentes. he was easily at his lowest point by 2022 and its shocking he didn't win LOTY in 2021 or 2022 with how bad shit was for him. but he was basically declared king of the internet when 2025 happened.

plenty of ecelebs go through a "wilderness period" of just bad content and not really having fans until they bounce back. Pewdiepie is a great example. there was a period before he started doing more right coded things where people still treated him like it was 2013 still and his content was still kid stuff. then the cancellation happened and he went through another period where he seemed to retire and then he came out with his AI stuff.

mumkey could have bounced back after the cancellation. its not like his videos were widely popular like leafy. mumkey was more niche meaning a return would have been bigger. one of the big things people need to understand is that theres no used to "chasing the algo" or following current events because thanks to how modern algos are set up, eventually someone will see your post, days/weeks/months after it hits. i've had people like posts from years ago when the algo is really fucking up. especially if its not about current events it doesn't matter.

if anything with the rise of booktok smut, Mumkey and his "ironic" school shooter jokes would be the biggest dude on youtube of 2025 and 2026.

but the relationship stuff clearly fucked him up more than anything else, his friend group got destroyed and plenty of the types of people that would be fans (kiwifarmers) just remember mumkey and some pedo accusations and then decide he's evil and turned on him.
