So in regards to the recent controversy with Schelp, here is what I can gather.
Now I'm sure everyone knows who Schelp is by now, the now former Roblox player that exposed the unethical practices by the Roblox corporation in regards to the lack of effective child safety guards for their game. He would make rounds on the Internet when Roblox wrongfully banned him from Roblox permanently which has gotten the attention from both the Internet and even some political figures.
The first controversy around him is a nothing burger where a lot of Roblox users disingenuously blame him for why Roblox is now implementing a half-assed ID verification system that is shown to not really protect kids from dangerous predators and even Schelp has publicly stated that Roblox's shitty ID verification system doesn't really protect anyone and this will only make things far worse. This is a nothing burger because Schelp himself never advocated for Roblox to have this shitty age verifcaiton system to begin with.
However, in more recent times there has been some things about Schelp that has raised some eyebrows.
The first thing about Schelp is that allegedly he is friends with a troon. Now being friends with a troon isn't a lolcow trait in of itself but even some of the Kiwis have raised some eyebrows on how can a predator catcher that has spent much of their time catching online predators be friends with a potential lolcow?
The trans community doesn't exactly have the best reputation ever because often a lot of troons get exposed grooming minors or consuming CSAM or both while also advocating to troon out kids with HRT and gender reassignment surgery. Some Kiwis have pointed out that Schelp being friends with a troon does poses a huge conflict of interest because a predator catcher being friends with troons is like a police officer being friends with a convicted murderer.
But the biggest eyebrow that is being raised now is Schelp's association with Ruben Sim.
Now unlike Schelp where Schelp has wisely avoided revealing his true political beliefs and has avoided showing off his power level, Ruben Sim is a dumbass where he does neither.
Like Schelp, Ruben Sim would also get banned from Roblox. But unlike Schelp where he was unjustly banned for going after child predators, Ruben Sim was not only banned but sued by Roblox for civil damages done by Ruben Sim (raging from fraud to harassment to computer crimes).
See Ruben Sim was a low level retarded script kiddie with bad OPSEC and he's also an alleged gooner where at the time he used his personal army of retards to troll the Roblox staff.
Ruben Sim has allegedly done the following such as ban evasion, swatting Roblox with fake terrorist threats, harassing employees of Roblox "For Fun", there is also the allegations Ruben Sim uploaded Neo-Nazi content and porn (including uploading nudes of himself) on Roblox in-front of kids that were playing the game, Ruben Sim did a lot of alleged fedposting where he encouraged other users to break both the Roblox ToS and even encouraged Roblox users to break the law, he made fake bomb threats, he made fake mass shooting threats, he tampered with evidence (he deleted the incriminating posts on social media of his trolling exploits he made online because he feared the potential legal repressions), the list goes on.
If Schelp is the more rational and level headed one then Ruben Sim is the unhinged retard. Ruben Sim would be sued by Roblox in 2021 for the damage he's caused and they would reach a 100,000 dollar settlement agreement where Ruben Sim is now legally barred from playing Roblox and he has to pay up for the damage he's caused; the American government themselves are the ones that enforces his ban from Roblox (unlike Schelp's ban where this is a private matter from Roblox, with Ruben Sim it's the American government that is the one forbidding him from playing on Roblox ever again).
But now recently the normies discovered that both Schelp and Ruben Sims have Kiwi Farms accounts where this has fueled more fire against these two individuals.
It's one thing if a content creator uses Kiwi Farms to show evidence about a lolcow but actually being a part of the Kiwi Farms community is curse for any content creator.
Like the Nick Fuentes Curse (which states that a right-wing content creator that unwisely allows Nick Fuentes into their inner circle will eventually have Nick Fuentes' evil Mexican groyper stench eventually ruins the careers of said right-wing content creators just by simply standing next to Nick Fuentes), with Kiwi Farms it's the same thing where many big and small content creators that have directly associated themselves with Kiwi Farms often find themselves being burned for association with Jersh and the Kiwi Farms community in general (just look at what happened to Turkey Tom after Jersh falsely accused Turkey Tom of being a sexual predator). Both Nick Fuentes and Kiwi Farms are a real life Brand of Sacrifice from Berzerk where those who are branded will lose everything they care about and have nothing in the end. There's a very good reason why Sam Hyde doesn't associate himself with Kiwi Farms anymore.
For the moment, I don't think Schlep is a bad person and to Schelp's credit he has avoided talking about politics in general and he doesn't show off his power level that could potentially make him look bad. But the people that Schelp hangs out with could be his undoing because some of the people that Schelp is close to are either lolcows or lolcow adjacent.
So there could come a day where we see Schelp have his brutal decline and everyone laughs at him because he refused to cut his ties with the lolcows he's currently friends with that could someday bring him down where Schlep himself could become a lolcow because of this anyway.

I'm reminded of how the music industry felt about the Internet way back in the day.
Before the rise of the Internet, the music industry were greedy fucks that kept nickle and dimeing consumers with anti-consumer high prices and turning a blind eye to music artists that had talent but the music industry at the time wanted to push trends that they thought would make them money.
Then the Internet came alone with torreting services that gave people better access to music (only real OGs of the Internet will remember using Napster and LimeWire to pirate music back in the day) and platforms like Youtube and MySpace gave music artists the voices they weren't getting from the big record labels. The Internet changed the way on how people saw consuming music forever.
Both Napster and LimeWire would be forced to shut down as the big record labels successfully had their lawyers shut down these torrenting services over copyright infringement but the damage was done and the old ways of music distribution by this point was becoming obsolete; consumers now wanted an easy way to consume music on the Internet so this lead to the rise of services like Apple's iTunes (Apple would replace this with Apple Music later on), Amazon Music, Spotify, and even the big record labels eventually conceding by offering their music for free (paid with ads) on Youtube. Some artists would get their work noticed on the Internet and then go big (TVFilthyFrank aka Joji started out as an edgy Internet comedian but would become a successful musician beyond the Internet).
I think this is what the AI bros think is going to happen but not realizing that there are a lot of wrong horses being backed in this AI bubble. AI is not going away but when the bubble finally bursts then a lot of people are going to be caught with their pants down while more practical AI models stick around longer. If there is one thing that should be learned from the Dot Com Bubble of the 1990's is don't get caught up by blind hype.

Beyond that when you look at hollywood and how shit CGI has gotten its obvious that AI is going to be accepted and heavily used. Especially in the CGI parts of filmmaking, there's going to be some controversy but overall people won't give a fuck. Disney and Amazon and multiple other major companies have already been caught using AI and it doesn't matter. with how bad the pay is for CGI companies i wouldn't be surprised if they were heavily using AI and just keeping it a secret because it helps with the workload.
I can easily see it knock out writing too, AI nails being able to shit out a 2000 word article in under a minute and for less than a nickle. you don't really need employees to shit out articles based on the latest newswire bullshit when you can just have AI do the same thing, same thing with short form comedy and videos. no doubt in my mind that AI is being used to make some of the crap shows you see on Tiktok. I can easily see AI being able to handle writing scripts really well too even in its current state.

I think there already exists open-source AI models where nerds will buy up some cheap or mid-tier PCs (like some retired Dell Optiplex PCs or if they have the money then they could buy some Framework Deskstop PCs), put them in a cluster, and train an open-source AI model though their home mini-datacenter and have an AI not dependent on any Big Tech infrastructure (such as those big datacenters that use a lot of water from the local environment for cooling).
I think the open-source and homebrew communities will eventually come up with efficient solutions to have AI at the home without the high cost or being dependent on Big Tech for this service.
Everyone is just throwing money at AI without fully understanding the current limits and hurdles this technology faces. So like the Wall Street investors of the 1990's that kept putting money in any company that launched a website, I feel like investors like Jersh will be caught with their pants down and lose everything when this AI Bubble finally bursts. AI won't go away but the phonies will be exposed sooner or later.

For real, the Dot Com bubble is the perfect lens for this. You're spot on about the Napster era—the old guard always freaks out and sues everyone, but ultimately they have to adapt because consumer behavior has already changed.
Right now, we're basically in the late 90s all over again. Anyone can slap "AI" on a pitch deck and get millions in VC money, exactly like adding ".com" to a company name back then. A lot of these startups are burning insane amounts of cash on computing power with zero actual plan to turn a profit.
When the hype dies down and the free money dries up, the grifters and useless apps will vanish overnight, just like Pets.com did. AI isn't going anywhere, but once the dust settles, the only things left standing will be the boring, practical tools that actually solve real problems. A lot of these AI bros are definitely going to get caught with their pants down.
