Being fair here, the CSAM incident that happened on 8chan back in the day was done by the glowies (allegedly)
If my memory serves me correctly, there was an incident where CSAM was being posted and the 8chan staff would discover that it was coming from an FBI-owned building (meaning the feds were planting evidence in order to frame 8chan for a crime the 8chan staff were not committing). Not long afterwards, I think Rachel Maddow from MSNBC would make a segment where she covered 8chan and labeled it as a darknet CSAM website and a terrorist recruitment center (I can't find this segment now, it seems to be lost media).
8chan had its shitty moments but at least up until the Christchurch Shooting, it was still more functional than 9chan at its peak.
