Depends on the atheist and it depends on which era of the Internet we're talking about here.
If we're talking about the present day, sure you can make this argument that now the atheist community opposes traditional religion in general even more compared to how it was back in the 2000's. But if we're talking about back then then you can make the argument that many "atheists" back in the day were just posers (and being fair here, a lot of atheists now are still posers).
But back in the day during the peak of New Atheism, you can make the argument that many "atheists" back in the day only became one because they wanted to shock their parents (if they were religious) but also many of them became a progressive where they were willing to trash on Christianity but paradoxically protect Islam because they thought anyone being critical towards Muslims was promoting "Fox News Propaganda".
I like to make the argument that many atheists that you see online, even now and days, aren't truly atheist.
Christopher Hitchens (arguably one of the most well-known atheists in history) said that many people have the God-Shaped Hole (the part of you that wants to believe in something though faith even if it's completely irrational) and to truly be an atheist then you must reject religious dogmas in general and not be tempted by any claims of mysticism or if something sounds too good to be true (this includes things like Horoscopes, New Age beliefs, and even hard line political beliefs).
A lot of atheists, even today, don't really pass Christopher Hitchens' Smell Test because even now when many atheists do reject whatever religion they grew up with later in life, they still may end up believing in some other nonsense (and for many atheists, a lot of them traded in their religion from whatever culture they grew up with in exchange for things like progressive politics to which Christoper Hitchens warned that many political ideologies in general are just religion disguised as secularism and he warned his fellow atheists that they should avoid being entrapped by this too).
To truly be an atheist, you have to acknowledge the God-Shaped Hole that you may have within you and completely starve it out to truly not believe (and many atheists both IRL and on the Internet still believe in some other nonsense anyway that doesn't involve their culture's traditional religion).
I believe that you are quite correct about your analysis of Islam.
Your analysis is pretty much what the user "BasilianThought" said to Joshua. Many people, and I certainly hope most people, in the "Western world" and elsewhere recognizes Islam and so-called "shitskins" for the very real danger that they are.
This does not change the fact that left-leaning politicians opened the floodgates for these muslims and "shitskins", with the the usual suspects cheering them on. Of these usual suspects, the feminists are of course included, and amongst these the radical feminists have been very vocal about the moral good and downright "necessity" of importing the people that Joshua supposedly hates so much.
The last point about the radical feminists is one that Joshua seethes and jiggles his fat, pale belly at, due to him being a pathetic male feminist who routinely masquerades as a woman and otherwise pesters women (and arguably even children, due to him being a projecting paedophile) with his thinly veiled perversions.
The fact that Joshuas father wants nothing to do with him is hilarious in the context of Joshua mocking people who don't have a clear father figure in their lives, but what's even more funny is that apparently even Joshuas mother wants nothing to do with him.
I don't blame them.

How the fuck Joshua has continued to stay afloat all these years is truly a mystery. He's such a lolcow. The thing that irks me about many Rightoids is that they often confuse the symptoms for the cause.
There's no denying that the Muslims coming from Africa and the Middle East are causing many kinds of problems in Europe (from religiously-motivated terrorist attacks to raping women and girls they encounter in the streets).
But even with this said, why are the Muslims there in Europe the first place? The Muslims for the most part didn't came to Europe out some pragmatic decision (like looking for a job or get their kids into better schools), it's the left-wing European politicians that decided to invite them in when things like the Syrian Civil War broke out and so many Muslims came to Europe knowing fully well the door was open for them so they can take advantage of Europe's welfare system and exploit their naive-minded hospitality while also subverting these Western countries with their theocratic values that they brought with them.
Most importantly, a lot of the people in Europe that let in the Muslims unvetted where White Europeans that thought it was a good idea to let them in and not care for the consequences (it was white people in power that got Europe into this mess in the first place).
There's no denying that the Muslims that were imported into Europe have no desire to assimilate to Western values and prefer to burn down Europe to establish Sharia Law. But the Muslims being there is a symptom and not a cause for everything that is currently wrong with the West. The only reason why the left-wing governments import these Muslims is because they know they're like pitbulls (one of the most feared dog breeds in the world) that most won't try to fight against knowing fully well these pitbulls will destroy an opponent on behalf of their master (assuming the pitbull doesn't turn against their master afterwards). These left-wing progressive governments that run Europe know fully well that the native populations of whatever country they administrate are often too submissive to do anything about it.
To truly fix this, you have to remove the left-wingers in power that still control the metaphorical Cathedral that controls Western culture and put the Cathedral under new management to reverse the damage (while wokism hasn't been that prevalent compared to a few years ago, the progressives are down but they're not out).
To truly fix Europe and the West in general, you have to kick out the left-wingers that still control the Cathedral (the state and cultural institutions like governments and the education systems and entertainment media and so on) and put the Cathedral under new management that is willing to undo the damage that the Left caused in the first place.
