Crazy how SomethingAwful is more transparent than Reddit Farms in that it isn't afraid to list publicly how many users are banned. It's pretty obvious he's just ashamed of it given the "free speech" reputation it has falsely signaled over the years. He's also being deceitful about the criticism of the chat. It's true the site had a chat for 10+ years, but it was always ON THE FRONT PAGE and AT THE BOTTOM of it. It wasn't bolted onto the top of almsot every board and thread. The chat is for users who log-in frequently to chat and catch up with each other, but this is something unique to a board and it's culture. With Josh trying to turn his website into Reddit the culture is now gone.

To be fair, SomethingAwful doesn't have anything to lose anymore as it's a dead website. It's still online but it's a ghost town now and days.

With Kiwi Farms, Jersh acts more like ResetEra where even if users don't violate ToS, they still can get banned for any bullshit reason.

The only thing missing is for Jersh to ban all third-party email providers and require you to register with a personal email only (like an email address provided by your ISP, from a college/university, or from your job) to use Kiwi Farms from that point on. It would cut down on the sock accounts and derailers but it would also make the website as restrictive as ResetEra.

I'm going off with what I saw. Who I'd be referring to is The_F00L, who poked fun of null about something back then. The farms is a huge place and and has enough people that you won't get what's going on fully if you stay on the threads you frequent. And it's not like I'm making shit up and saying things out of my ass.

EDIT: I can't find his profile anymore. I think since he was banned before Keffals happened his account might've been scrubbed. But I'm going to link this thread about Null wanting to start a family for a change and to contribute on this thread. And I concede about Null mellowing down, looking at all his posts he hasn't changed a bit and he keeps tarding out at most of his posts when responding lmao

this is literally what happened. the clique coordinates by DM to mass report people or report people. same way the circlebroke and srs groups did on reddit. because they realized if you mass report a sub the admins would nuke it.

i once mocked a guy on there in some random thread in the off topic section and got a ban. it was fairly obvious who and why i got reported because it was a casual account. not making waves or anything

Why should superchats be tax-free when a salaried worker with a real job has to pay taxes like everyone else? What part of sitting behind a computer and waiting for superchats to come into your account means you shouldn't have to pay taxes? Why are you special? Rich Youtubers like Hasan and Destiny shouldn't have to pay taxes on the majority of their income just bc you also sit on your ass and don't want to be taxed? Newsflash! As an adult you are supposed to have an unique signature that is presumably more difficult to forge, because adults sign things they state are true, or are promises to do something in the future, like pay back a loan, pay rent or their credit card balances, etc., so your signature is important in case there's a dispute that you indeed signed those documents. Josh Jocelyn doesn't into adulting so xe thinks xer has to have a pretty signature, which is very trans coded.
