Nekos are just a girl (usually) with cat ears and a tail and the rest of her human. There are lots of non-sexual nekos like Tokyo Mew Mew and a lot of neko art is SFW.

I'd rather little girls wanting to be a cute neko girl than Lizzo.

Either way, to answer your other thing, I don’t believe furries and nekos are crazy similar but KF’s issue with furries has always been “No matter how anthro something is, if it includes animals in anyway then you’re a zoo”. Not only do nekos have cat ears and shit, but when it comes to porn with them it often focuses on them meowing and purring. If the issue is “Animal traits are zoophilic” then what the fuck is this

I'm sorry but I had to defend the honour of nekos from being associated with furrydom. I agree they will call anything even nekos zoophilic.
