I know I'm probably in the minority, but Josh's China shilling drives me up a fucking wall because of how ignorant and hypocritical he is about it. I was reading the Trovo thread in the Ralph subforum (which just seems to be filled with whiny leftists who hate anything they deem conservative) and found these choice posts.

Josh underestimates the pettiness and level of control the CCP has over their people. Chinese Embassies and consulates in the US actively monitor Chinese international students in the US's social media posts and sanctions them accordingly. The same diplomats also recruits local Chinese to protest anything even slightly disfavorable towards China. You're retarded if you think a Chinese owned company wouldn't make some efforts to curb people from criticizing their government considered the level of oversight and control the CCP has in a company as large as Tencent. What I've found with Josh from watching various YouTube shit with him on it is that he acts like an unquestionable expert on certain topics but then completely shrivels up into an impotent retard once he's faced with an actual expert who disproves what he's saying. I saw this when Nick Rekeita shut him down on his autistic 230 screeching.

Worth noting that that thread is full of lefty China lovers who seem to know Mandarin and have familiarity with China, but also post wrong stuff about it (basically trying to paint a rosier, lax picture compared to what it actually is). I think these people might be who is feeding Josh all of these weird ideas about China. I seriously don't get why he doesn't just fucking move there with how much he talks about it.

Totally agree with the stuff you said about standing, particularly in regards to "good posters" or, even more so, "good mods". So many "oldfags" in cliques in chat constantly talk about certain people who've been proven to be IRL degenerate scum as being still cool because they're "good posters/mods" (Zed comes to mind) and you look at these so call amazing postings and it's either nothing special, unfunny mean jabbing at certain people everyone hates, or self-important edicts further cultivating a cult of personality.

Considering his /pol/ views, he might like them the same way some other /pol/ types do, in that they see China as uber traditionalist paradise and any bad talk towards them is "western propaganda".

Is this exclusively on 4chan /pol/ or does EVERY /pol/ believe that? I never heard anyone on 8ch /pol/ (pre 8kun) say "we love china", so if this is something new, then I'm kinda glad I don't browse /pol/ anymore cause that's a REALLY dumb take to have.
