Josh is one of the least charismatic individuals in the world, hearing him talk renders sleeping pills obsolete, he seems like the kind of dude who spent his entire academic life (which is short) unnoticed despite spending 6 to 8 hours every day in the same place with the same people every day.
And yet, somehow, he manipulates people into feeling sympathy or pity for him, he even manages to come as heroic, deep or admirable to some.
He constantly 180s on stuff and mounts lies on top of lies but somehow he doesn't lose any credibility.

Regardless of how you feel about Josh, losing a family member is never an easy thing to go through.
Personally I never really went to chat. Honestly the site was better when it focused mainly on Chris.
According to this Josh missed the funeral by almost 2 weeks so it makes me wonder what this "sudden family emergency" is really about. Inheritance?

Her death was sudden according to the obituary. While people often take time off for funerals, they're not really "emergencies".
It was 10 days after his grandmother's funeral, and 15 days after he'd first mentioned a family emergency, that Josh said he was taking a week off. The reason may be as simple as his mother wanting his support right now. We know that the Vordrak created drama of a few years ago caused a rift with her siblings.

I know writing is subjective but his grandma actually sounded like a sweet lady. I have no idea about Josh's mom and it's not my interest but losing a family member suddenly is horrible and I hope they find peace because it sounds like she just like helping people.
