If we look at the logic of this question, it usually depends on who the person is. If it's a transgender woman, go ahead, but it's different if that person identifies has he/him. You'll see a lot of crossdressers wearing he/him tags when they cosplay as female characters at pop culture conventions in order to not be misgendered. That's all I have to say on this but I'd be interested to see what other people's answers are.
