Criteria For Making a Thread

I'd agree to that if I read criticisms, but all I saw was a whiney faggot that should join the 41%.
I’m pointing out that their will be no growth the way that onionnull wants to do things

Like sneasel pointed it, if a cow is funny and is above 18 that’s all that matters.

i understand why he’s worried about lawsuits from those who belong in asylums, but couldn’t he just delete the thread and be done with it?

Agreed. I also disagree on the popularity criteria as it kinda weeds out some more niche cows or potential cows. Granted many are or should meet that mark, but if a cow is funny and warrants a thread, but doesn't have that many followers total, what should be done about that?

Also if anything aren’t bigger people more likely to sue than niche weirdos?

Then try to say that next time vs whatever the fuck you thought you were doing before. I'm not sure how the hell you guys do it at KF, but shitting up everywhere you step probably isn't how. I'll leave you guys to figure it out I guess.

I just want what the current consensus by @OnionNull is for thread creation before I continue.

If the rules are getting lightened up on threads on public figures should be alright.
It may just be a difference in forum culture, but threads on public figures was okay back on PULL. There even was a thread on Elon Musk although not in the snowflakes section. So for the sake of keeping it different from KF these should be allowed and considered if posted up. Like right now I think that girl who wrote a 300 page sex manifesto would be pretty humorous. (haven't looked into her too much though, but I'd be willing to add that on my list of people to write up on.)

Edit: Rebekah Jones was her name.

This is 20,000 on everything put together. For a public figure it is not a very high bar. I don't have a problem with exceptions for well established cows such as Tommy Tooter or ADF. The purpose of vetting someone is to prevent revenge threads from slipping in.

>Revenge Thread

If its funny and interesting who cares?

Revenge threads (PA threads) are banned. KF also prohibits these types of threads as well. Same with lolcow.farm or PULL.
But instead of deleting the PA requests, can you at least lock the threads and use them as an example?

And I'm not exactly sold on the followers requirements. It's not like every cow that's out there knows how to bring in a cult.

Yes, I would lock these kinds of threads. But it's better to be proactive than reactive. 20,000 really isn't a cult following. CWC for example has 40.6K followers on her Twitter alone. That is more of a cult following. But like I said in terms of who qualifies: If the person is well established in internet culture like ADF I have no issue with a thread. Another example is Russell Greer. He probably doesn't have 20K followers on his social media but he is very much in the public spotlight and I would have no issue with a thread.

The thread subjects should be genuine public figures / borderline celebs, not some obscure furry artists on deviantart who get harassed for their inflation art.
Are you including yourself in that category?
