I think that while everyone is entitled to freedom of speech I think that it's a big thing to ask for in a forum. If you allow people to say anything in any manner you're going to end up like /pol/ and nobody in the history of ever has liked /pol/. I think that freedom of opinion is a better thing to aim for if that makes sense, say all your racist and horrible opinions but do it in a civilized manner.
The virgin Null >wastes time to codes a chat feature from scratch
>ignores feedback from users
>spergs out over Section 230
>accepts knuckle dragging politispergs with open arms and lets them drag the site down
The chad @OnionNull: >pays someone to create a chat feature for him - his time is valuable
>listens to user feedback
>doesn't threaten to shut down his website if 230 is repealed
>will ban politispergs
Yes. I paid for it. It was not that expensive. It was only $36.25. It's made by experts who specifically build stuff for Xenforo. So yes, it's worth it.
You mentioned an API key earlier in this thread. Do you have to pay every month/year/whatever to keep using the service, or was it just a one time payment?

You get it for a lifetime but you shell out for a renewal if you want to keep receiving updates which I assume will be needed if XF ever gets updated and doesn't maintain backwards compatibility with add-ons.
remember when there was an exploit to XF about 3 years ago that allowed anyone into the admin panel, and XF patched it, but null was too lazy to run updates, so he didn't until some shitty hacker with a thread mentioned it?
