He was arrested and held by the EFCC (Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Wednesday April 3, 2024. BOBRISKY PLEADS DARLINGTON’S CAUSE

The controversial Nigerian crossdresser, Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, took to his Instagram story to plead on behalf of “Speed Darlington.”

In the story he posted, he appealed to Afrobeat musician Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, known as Burna Boy.

Stating that he doesn't like to meddle in the affairs of Nigerian celebrities,
Bobrisky, however, expressed his sympathy for the rapper.

He said:

“I just wanna mind my business this year and stay away from anything that connects with Nigerian celebrities. But my soft heart won’t stop me from thinking of many things,”

“Pls Burna Boy, forgive Speed. Prison is not a nice place. I don’t think he has money for a VIP section ‘cos it’s expensive,”

SPEED’S ARREST

Darlington Okoye, popularly known as Speed Darlington was arrested on November 27, 2024, after claiming Burna Boy's Grammy award was somehow tied to an illicit relationship he had with the American music executive, Sean Diddy Combs, popularly known as Diddy.

WHO IS DIDDY?

Sean Diddy Combs is an American music executive and rapper who had been recently embroiled in significant legal charges, some dating back to the 1990s, ranging from sexual assault, rape, and sex trafficking, some of which dated back to the 1990s.

In 2023, his ex-partner accused him of rape and physical abuse. Subsequently, lawsuits have emerged involving minor and dirty allegations.

In September 2023, Diddy was arrested for racketeering and sex trafficking, for which he pleaded not guilty, and he is currently detained at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, awaiting trial by May 2025.

CONCLUSION

During the time of Diddy's trial, various tapes were released which indicated his involvement in various sexual scandals.
That was when Speed made his remark, which Burna Boy found to be scandalous.

Though the court had ordered that Darlington be released, he still remained in detention.

BOBRISKY IMPREGNATES A LADY

During a live Instagram session, Bobrisky admitted to impregnating a lady in his undergraduate days as a student of the University of Lagos. The popular Nigerian crossdresser, Idris Olanrewaju Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, revealed the name of the lady to be Lamide.
According to him, the lady—Lamide—initiated the relationship and romantic relationship which led to the pregnancy.

BOBRISKY LOST HIS VIRGINITY

According to the dramatic story, after the romantic encounter, Bobrisky claimed to lose his virginity after the encounter and it was the last time he touched a woman. Lamide revealed the pregnancy news on Valentine's Day. While he pleaded to find a solution by aborting the pregnancy fearing it could ruin his life, she insisted on keeping the pregnancy. As the situation escalated, and she was determined to keep the pregnancy, Bobrisky revealed she reported him to a boy who confronted him with a group of other boys.

Then I told her we needed to find a solution because I was not ready. She knew I was a bit
feminine but not this feminine. I do not know maybe she liked me because I was feminine; I could not really figure it out.

She insisted that she would give birth and started insulting me. She brought out the female in me, and I, too, started throwing insults at her.

She went to report me to a guy. I do not really know that part. So one day as I was going back to my hostel, the guy just said I should come, about seven of them. That is how they carried me and went to put me inside a small room and asked me to kneel down there.

They asked if I knew the girl, her name was Lamide, very short girl like this. She was like she told me she would deal with me, that I was insulting her and I was like Lamide please calm
down.”
