At this point, I'm leaning towards the fact that there are more normies on KiwiFarms than there is other people.
With each passing year there is an alarming uptick on users that need to be spoonfed even the most basic shit.

Of course Welper is going to side with Bricks and Minifigs instead of siding with the guy who had their constitutional rights being violated by the Utah state authorities.
As a little refresher for those not in the loop, Bricks and Minifigs is a Lego collector retailer that found itself under a lot of controversy after they allegedly stole valuable Star Wars Lego sets from an old man and then sold them off for a profit.
The Youtuber Reckless Ben tracked down the stolen Legos and traced them to Bricks and Minifigs being in possession of them but instead of Bricks and Minifigs doing the right thing by giving back the stolen property, they weaponized the local police department to harass Reckless Ben and slapping Reckless Ben with ridiculous lawsuits in the attempt to ruin his life.
Bricks and Minifigs even tried to take down Reckless Ben's Patreon but Patreon said 'No' to Bricks and Minifigs and GoFundMe reversed their decision to ban Reckless Ben and they reinstated the donation page for the old man that had his Legos stolen from him.
You might wonder, what the fuck does Legos have anything to do with Mormons? Well the owners of Bricks and Minifigs just so happen to be Mormons and when Reckless Ben went to Utah he was surprised to see local police confront him and he got harassed by the local police where he was falsely accused of swatting and was falsely accused of making bomb threats (Reckless Ben never swatted anyone based on everything this is available and he never made bombs threats either).
What started out as a simple quest to retrieve stolen property lead to uncovering a massive religious cult conspiracy where the Mormons are willing to defend criminals instead of doing the right thing.
This is the shit that you see the Church of Scientology do where Scientologists will weaponize the law for their own benefit in order to silence any dissidents and critics. The city of Clearwater, Florida had the joy sucked out of them because the Scientologists control that city with an iron fist and turned the city into what is essentially Hell for its residents. In this case, the Mormons will weaponize the law in any communities they still control as they are losing ground in Utah (because the state of Utah has seen a significant decline in Mormon attendance and a decline in people that identity as Mormon) but they still have a fierce grip in some communities that have made life Hell for the residents in Utah in some of these communities as well.
So to me (and for a lot of people on the Internet) this is just further proof that the Church of Jesus Christ of Ladder Day Saints is a cult that is no different from Scientology where the Mormons will weaponize the law to bully others (this includes violating the constitutional rights of others for their own benefit).

i think the big difference is that Scientology was born in LA, and regularly used fame and the media to catch a lot of members rather quickly and did that up until project chanology and regularly did combat with jews and the US government.
the mormons learned their lesson once Utah became a state and made sure not to publicize or make enemies with the media the way scientology does.
look at how mormons treated South park vs Scientologists for a great example. Mormons don't care if they're the butt of jokes and everyone says their religion is bullshit because they're still collecting money in the end. Mormons are pretty much one of the few groups doing well in modern america and a lot of that has to do with both being a cult and being more rurally based and not challenging the system. The closest Mormons have gone to butting heads with the establishment was Glenn Beck leaving Fox News to set up The Blaze.
slightly more households owned a copy of Dianetics than the book of mormon in the 1950. thats how equal in size they used to be. but by keeping quiet and growing rurally they really managed to expand to insane heights.

Well it seems the Mormons are beginning to forget the lessons that made them survive in the first place.
Back in the 19th century, they got kicked out of the state of Missouri through physical removal by state executive order because the state of Missouri found the Mormons to be a nuisance and a threat to order (to put it really nicely).
Since then the Mormons kept to themselves because the last time they tried it, the rest of the United States wanted to lynch them and the only thing that prevented the rest of America from going fully medieval on the Mormons was the law (sounds really harsh I know but there was very good reason why most Americans at the time turned against the Mormons because the Mormons got too pushy and overstayed their welcome whenever they went).
This time it seems the Mormons are forgetting what made them survive in the first place. From suing podcasts over bogus copyright claims to violating the rights of an American citizen trying to retrieve stolen property, this is making the Mormons look really terrible in the eyes of everyone else outside of the Mormon bubble.
If this keeps up then sooner or later the Mormons will find themselves in the exact same spot that Scientology found itself in where much like how the Internet memed on Scientologists back in the 2000's over their dirty laundry (with the South Park episode delivering the finishing blow to the Scientologists) then it's only a matter of time where the Internet will start to collectively meme and clown on the Mormons for their dirty laundry too the longer this stupid shit from the Mormons continues (with other Christian groups most likely going to join in to clown on and meme on the Mormons because the vast majority of Christians don't see the Mormons as Christian and they see them as a cult too).

honestly i doubt it, mormons are too big now and they're fucking everywhere, especially if you're only counting white americans. they're like 10% of that population.
plus mormons are a lot better about hiding their dirty laundry, even this whole scheme is fairly niche. back in the 2000s you had Tom Cruise sperging out all over the place on tv. that made it easier for people to go "you know why he's like this? scientology" but even this is being relatively covered up.
it would be funny if this starts the mormon meltdown but i think the internet is too fractured to put up a fight compared to the 2000s.

The Mormons still don't have the same level of clout like say the Catholic Church.
The Mormons are mostly concentrated in Utah and already people are leaving the church in record numbers within the past and while they do have some sizable numbers outside of America, it's not enough to keep the church afloat in the long term as more people are discovering the sordid history of the Mormons.
I'll give it another generation or two where the Mormons end up just like the Jehovah's Witnesses where everyone stays away from the JWs at this point.
