what movies and shows did you grow up with?

Generic answer but I was obsessed with most Warner Brothers cartoons as a kid, watched other cartoons too but they didn't really stick
besides a few of the classics for cartoons like.. courage the cowardly dog, beavis and butthead, the simpsons & others i can relate to cartoons not really sticking.
i was really into adult swim after hours but i think the cartoon that stuck with me even into my adult years was teen titans. :like: enjoyed a lot of DC & marvel

In the late 80s they showed re-runs of 1960s stuff tv on Sunday afternoons sometimes, like land of the giants, lost in space, that kind of thing. One of my favorites was The Invaders: it had such a maddening premise, if the dude killed it even knocked out one of the aliens then their body evaporated so he could never prove that they existed.

Lethal Weapon.

Also, why do new movies consistently suck ass compared to the ones from the 80s and 90s?

So I was feeling nostalgic for a show I've seen as a kid but forgot the name.
A quick google of "show where computer hologram woman comes out of credit card" surprisingly gave me an instant answer: Time Trax

The introductory exposition in the first episode is amazing. It's a long amalgamation of every dumb sci-fi meme and gets dangerously based when it presents the white protagonist as a minority suffering under racial abuse where 'blanco' has become the new 'nigger'.

Not from when I was growing up because it came out when I was 20 but it's from 20 years ago so I'm going to go ahead and say Lost because I love that show so much that I can still binge it today. I've probably seen the entire show in its entirety at least 100 times.

Sawyer was the greatest TV character of all time. He wasn't an over-the-top bad guy like Walter White or Tony Soprano, he was written like a complicated human being that still did fucked up shit and justified it with his own morals.

Fuckin love that show.

And anyone who didn't understand the finale was just too stupid to realize what the writers were trying to convey.
