The move triggered widespread reactions online. Around the same period, reports surfaced claiming that VDM also made moves regarding the BLord brand identity. The feud had clearly evolved beyond criticism and entered the territory of legal and commercial warfare.
The ₦500 Million Ambassador Controversy
The dispute reached its peak in early 2026. According to VDM, BLord and members of his team allegedly launched promotional campaigns suggesting that VeryDarkMan had become a brand ambassador for some of BLord's businesses.
The controversy became explosive when claims surfaced that:
• Billboards allegedly featuring VDM were displayed without authorization.
• Promotional materials used VDM's image.
• Claims circulated online that VDM had received ₦500 million as an endorsement deal.
• Flight tickets allegedly bearing Martins Otse's identity were created in connection with a business launch event.
VDM strongly denied all the claims. He insisted that he had never signed any endorsement agreement with BLord and accused the businessman of unauthorized use of his identity. The matter quickly moved from social media into the courtroom.
The Court Case and Kuje Prison Remand
Following legal action initiated by VDM, BLord was arraigned before the Federal High Court in Abuja.

On April 17, 2026, the Federal High Court granted BLord bail. However, his release was delayed due to bail requirements, including the submission of his international passport. He was eventually released after fulfilling the conditions set by the court.
