There is a potential major lolcow – celebrity I am working on with someone else. He gets into it with one Nollywood celebrity after another and his attitude is I won’t shut up no matter what. I am going to see who the best lolcow – celebs are by country so we will have a never-ending supply of milk.

Traditional Lolcow Sphere: This won’t be affected by the Nigeria project so if you want to start threads on any potential lolcow you see or any traditional lolcow you would like to start or continue a discussion on. Go for it. I have no issues with this.

The custom search will be directly from the database and there will be two searches built in. Because it is directly from the database, we will put the problems with the current search functions behind us and be able to move on.
  1. First: you will be able to search for any word or phrase from either the entire forum or one particular forum.
  2. Second: you will be able to search any word or phrase by member.

The Movie House: I am checking on how far done we are with this.
  • It will be ours 100% not an account with someone else. We can do what we want with it.
  • There won’t be any need to make an account with cytu.be
  • You won’t have to download or install anything, It will be a simple registration.
  • There will be public rooms for the general public as well as us and private rooms members only.
  • We will have chat in real time.

Time frame on this? As the search is still fucked. Oh, and I'm having to refresh after posting, just to get the post to actually post.

A celebrity-lolcow isn't the same. I know the search is still fucked. I had to downsize with the hosting plan and there were unexpected issues. Two steps forward we meet a challenge.

The search problem is related to the OS. When I downsized we moved from Linux to Unbuntu 22. But then we were moved to Centos OS and I don't know why. The Centos OS is what is causing the problems.

I don't know anything about the maintenance about these kinds of "software-projects", other than that they need a thorough "cleaning" every once in a while.

Still, I want you to know that me and the rest of the users on here are very thankful for the work you do, even if for some users that work could have been better directed elsewhere.

It's always nice to have a place that embrace lolcow-culture and which also allow discussion being critical of forums such as the Kiwifarms.

If this website continues to grow, I expect that we will find ourselves in a somewhat similar situation as Kiwifarms in a decade or two (without the absolute and incredible sperg that is Joshua Conner Moon), but then again, that's the case for the vast majority of websites.

Please continue to maintain this website, mr./ms. Onion Null!
