This dickhead "friend" I know from work who quit his state prison ward job to be a rental property manager complained that he had to spend $2000 on top of the deposit to deodorize walls and strip off discolored wall paints. I put quotation marks because he is a soulless fuck
I've encountered property rental agreements that explicitly stipulate liability for damage caused by offensive odors, particularly those originating from cooking. Grease can cause a lot of damage for example.
You would think that those clauses were made for people who got caught will the meth lab in their apartment or even people who smoke cigarettes, but no... It's just for indians/mexicans and their fucking nasty food.
