Iran / Iran in Meltdown Mode Over Ukranian Jetliner Shooting
« on: January 13, 2020, 11:06:29 PM »
Apparently the government lied about the missile strike of the Ukranian Jet that killed all 176 passengers that was filled with Iranian citizens. Iran has gone full meltdown concerning the Ukranian airplane shooting. At least two Iranian journalists at a state owned media outlet have resigned from their jobs. Another left a while back telling her supporters "Forgive me for the 13 years I told you lies". Even politicians in Iran's parliment are ticked off.

Article from the Guardian: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/jan/13/journalists-quit-iranian-state-broadcaster-over-crash-cover-up

A direct quote from the news article: "The Tehran-based Association of Iranian Journalists said in a statement that the country was witnessing “a funeral for public trust” that was damaging the already shaky reputation of Iran’s official media."

Evo Morales - Politician / Former President Evo Morales Feels the Heat
« on: January 12, 2020, 11:02:02 PM »
Evo Morales who was Bolivia's first indigenous President is now facing a corruption probem along with 592 former government officials under his rule. He resigned in November amid protests over his rule. The new interim right-wing government led by acting President Jeanine Anez has been regularly denouncing him ever since it came to power. Morales is currently residing in Argentina and denied rumors that he had sought asylum in Chile. He claims the coup was sponsored by the United States.

Apparently he was paranoid of the United States of conspiring against him and was anti-American which is most likely how he ended up on Trump's shit list.

Trump would probably love her:

This must be the latest game of chicken by Putin:

Video of the incident, which was obtained by CNN, shows the Russian warship rapidly approaching the USS Farragut, coming as close as 180 feet to the US ship before changing course, according to two defense officials....

The growing body of evidence was that it was shot down with Russian missiles by Iran. But it may have been accidential.

You just can't make this shit up:

According to the New Telegraph: A 25 year old pickpocket was arrested by the Lagos State Anti-Robbery Squad who confessed: He sacrificed cocks every 3 days for his magic rings that he wears to remain potent.

“An Alfa (an Islamic cleric) gave the rings to me.  When we met at Alaba Rago market in early November, where I went to smoke Indian hemp, the Islamic cleric also came to smoke Indian hemp. While we were discussing, he told me that I looked like a street boy. He said rather than subjecting myself to so much suffering, that he could help me get rich, by giving me something that would better my life without stress.

“Initially I thought it was money ritual, surprisingly he brought out two rings and asked me to meet him at a secluded place. When we eventually met, he brought two cocks, alligator pepper and other ingredients. He then killed the cocks and poured the blood on the rings and mixed part of the blood with other ingredients. He said some incantations and poured the mixed concoction on the rings.  As he was doing that, he kept mentioning my name on the rings.

“At the end of the sacrifice, he gave me the two rings and charged me N50,000 for his services. But I told him I did not have such amount of money with me and I promised to pay him more than that when the rings would start fetching money for me. He agreed and left.”

On the whereabouts of the Islamic cleric that gave him the ring, Francis said he is yet to see the Islamic cleric who told him he will collect the money for the ring ritual after he returns from a trip to his hometown in Togo.

There is a rough draft of her Wikipedia article at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Tatelicious_Karigambe-Sandberg. I am going to give just a few of the basic points in her biography and a little bit of background information.

Basically, she is a Zimbabwean transgender socialite and human rights activist for LGBTIQ and HIV/AIDS based in Sweden. She is one of the first Zimbabwean transgender women to go public. She is a chemical engineer by profession. She went through a sex change operation in India in 2013 where she spent about $80,000 on breast augumentation and vaginoplasty. She became public on June 28, 2015.

In 2016, she revealed that she had been living with HIV for 14 years after being raped by her uncle at the age of 12.

Is it possible that President Donald Trump got more than he bargained for when he took out General Soleimani on January 3rd? Iraq has voted to expel all foreign troops, not just American troops. Apparently Australia is concerned over the safety of its soldiers in Iraq http://(https://www.theguardian.com/australia-news/2020/jan/07/interpreters-helping-australian-soldiers-fear-for-lives-as-iraq-votes-to-expel-foreign-troops)

Iraq and Iran have grown steadily closer in their relationship to the detriment of our relationship. Remember when we went into Iraq and took out Saddam? We've spent over a trillion dollars on the war in Iraq, and spent billions more in the war against the Islamic State in Syria and Iraq. Moreover we have spent billions on building the US Embassy in Bagdhad. Back then Bush was confident we would bring in a western style democracy to Iraq and have another staunch ally in the Middle East. Remember that one?

Publicized funeral processions are being held all over the country

Iran has also opened up condolences books in Karachi and Lahore Pakistan at the Iranian consulates for people to sign and show their support for the Islamic Republic.

There was a big demonstration in Yeman as well paying homage to the Soleimani.
https://en.irna.ir/news/83623730/Yemenis-march-to-honor-Iran-s-General-Soleimani#gallery

So when I am looking at this, our relationship with Iraq has been dealt a major blow, our relationship with Pakistan will most likely suffer along with our relationship with Yemen.  Of course Iran saw opportunity to throw a threat at Israel over this: https://www.timesofisrael.com/tel-aviv-residents-not-afraid-of-iran-threat-to-turn-city-to-dust/

Did Donald Trump go too far in his assassination of the Iranian General?

Feuds Between Countries / Turkey vs. The UAE
« on: January 04, 2020, 01:56:34 AM »
Apparently relations between Turkey and the UAE have been deteriorating for some time and they don't look like they are going to get any better. There was an angry rant in a major Turkish publication blaming the United Arab Emirates for a recent terrorist boming in Mogadishu, Somalia.

https://www.radiodalsan.com/en/2019/12/30/arabian-country-not-al-shabab-executed-saturday-bombing-in-mogadishu-nisa/?fbclid=IwAR3MGHgfrrWc-F0QUBytBZq-ANFLkm12h0063OYerq4VTzqun1Nc70xaoIw

In fact if you want the full article by the editor who accused the UAE of the terrorist attack here it is: https://www.yenisafak.com/en/columns/ibrahimkaragul/uaes-mohammad-bin-zayed-the-man-in-charge-of-the-middle-easts-terror-traffic-we-will-hold-you-responsible-for-any-terror-attack-against-turkey-chp-good-party-felicity-party-whos-placing-you-on-the-same-front-with-sisi-terror-emir-saudis-and-haftar-2047290

Of course it does not stop there: Turkey has recently decided to send Syrian mercenaries into war torn Libya to fight on its behalf to help prop up the Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated government of Prime Minister Fayez Al Sarraj:
https://gulfnews.com/world/mena/turkey-sends-syrian-mercenaries-to-fight-on-its-behalf-in-libya-1.68786271

This has been condemned by both the UAE and the Arab League:
https://gulfnews.com/uae/government/uae-condemns-turkish-governments-decision-to-send-troops-to-libya-1.1578074736883

Turkey has long been a bastion of secularism in the Islamic World. When the modern republic of Turkey was proclaimed on October 29th, 1923 by Kemal Ataturk (the first president of the modern Turkish Republic), he made put secularism at the center of his reforms.

The Treaty of Lausanne  which was signed by the Ottoman Empire and the Allied French Republic, British Empire, Kingdom of Italy, Empire of Japan, Kingdom of Greece, and the Kingdom of Romania, established the boundaries of the modern Turkish Republic and officially recognized Turkish sovereignty within the bounaries. In return, Turkey gave up all claims to the remainder of the territory that made up the Ottoman Empire.

When Kemal came to power and instituted his reforms, he abolished the office of the Caliphiate and sent the Caliph packing to Cyprus. He gutted Islamic law replacing it with European legal codes that he borrowed from countries such as Switzerland and France. Polygamy, concubines and slavery were abolished. He gave women the right to vote in 1924 with a new consitution that proclaimed Turkey a secular state removing Islam as the official state religion. He replaced the arabic Ottoman script with an English alphabet and encouraged western dress over Islamic dress.

Erdogan who is the current President of Turkey appears to be reversing Turkey's secular model making it more Islamic: https://ilmfeed.com/7-ways-turkey-has-become-more-islamic-under-the-leadership-of-president-erdogan/

His political party The Justice and Development Party is linked to the Muslim Brotherhood which is most likey the reason Turkey is jumping into Libyan affairs.  https://ahvalnews.com/muslim-brotherhood/turkey-becomes-biggest-muslim-brotherhood-backer-world.

The Muslim Brotherhood was condemned as a terrorist organzation by the UAE and subsequently banned: https://fanack.com/united-arab-emirates/history-past-to-present/uae-muslim-brotherhood/. Apparently there are a lot of bad feelings between the Muslim Brotherhood and the UAE. That may be driving some of it. Or perhaps it is the fact that large oil and gas were discovered recently in Somalia and the UAE wants a piece of the action.
